A nice Bavarian restaurant, but unfortunately artificial flowers on the tables, other restaurants have flower or herb pots, no longer up to date!

This was our first meal in Germany after seeing a recommendation on TikTok.The service to begin with was slow it said ‘wait and we will seat you’, so we waited outside the door for around 5/10 minutes. We didn’t have a reservation, but the people behind us did, so they were let in ahead of us, fair enough. A member of staff asked them if me and the person I was with, would like to share? To which they said no, which we understood. We finally got shown to a table and served by a friendly waiter (I can’t remember their name). The service was okay, we weren’t given English menu’s so we had to go over to the desk to collect these ourselves and the waiter was surprised that we collected them as we were waiting. The food tasted lovely, but it wasn’t that hot, we sat beside where they bring the food out and I seen a few dishes being left under the heated lamp waiting to be collected for quite a while at times. We ordered a coke and a Lemonade, I think we got the end of the barrel as our drinks tasted flat which wasn’t great. Our waiter was very friendly which improved our experience. However, I didn’t like that they give you the bill and on the bill, they write tip at the bottom of the bill. You are given a pen to write the amount you would like to tip!.. Each cultures different, however from my culture this is considered very rude and impolite!Studying psychology and human interaction, I understand there is a tactic behind giving the pen and feeling obligated to give a tip as the pen is an unspoken rule, a gesture to comply…Other than this, we enjoyed our time here and the waiter made it a nice experience.

My favorite place in Munich for beer, food and German beer hall ambience. Not fancy at all, very down-to-earth, but amazing beer and really great food.

Cozy restaurant and café as an alternative to the enormous tourist attraction across the street. Very pleasant, sit down and chat. Staff was very nice and helpful. Food was great, including the vegetarian options. Live music and visitors in traditional clothing, a nice experience. Thank you!

I visited the restaurant and was impressed. After a stupid experience at the Hofbräuhaus, the Augustiner really saved our day. The food was really delicious and I would have liked to drink more of the beer. A very nice atmosphere and the service was really very friendly and accommodating. I would come back every time. Definitely come here instead of going to the Hofbräuhaus!!
