Rooms are clean and well presented. The location is really nice you go from a busy city street to a quiet (apart from the owls at night) garden surrounded by apartments, the hospital and the guesthouse, it’s a nice place to retire to after a busy day. I probably wouldn’t stay here mid summer as the room didn’t have air conditioning but in mid September they were great. I’m not sure the breakfast was worth the price (bread, cold meats and cheese) especially if you had more time in the morning. The Nordbahn station is very close so it’s good to get to most places in Berlin.

I, Ms. Klonczynski, visited the Guesthouse Lazarus from September 16th to September 20th, 2024. I felt really comfortable after discovering Berlin, and it was really nice to enjoy the peace and quiet on the balcony in the evenings. The breakfast was also great of everything there was Plenty, there was nothing to complain about. So I would like to stay there again, I felt completely comfortable and well received. The proximity to the city center was within walking distance, good connections by bus, tram, subway and S-Bahn were also great.

Important for everyone who has booked at the Lazarus guesthouse:Be sure to go to the Hotel Grenzfall to check in!!!There you get the key for the gate to get to the parking lot in front of the Lazarus guesthouse by car. The key deposit is €20. The prerequisite is that you have booked a parking space! You can get a Lagaplan at the reception in the hotel, as this is a bit difficult by car!The location of the Gästehaus Lazarus is perfect for exploring Berlin! Opposite or nearby is the Nordbahnhof for S-Bahn trains. The tram station is also easy to find. The house and the rooms have a hospital feel, but that's not really a bad thing! Our room 211 was very large, friendly and modernly furnished. The room faced south: it was early September. At 34 degrees in the shade, with around 8 hours of sun on the window and balcony, everything heats up very quickly. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning or a fan! There is also no refrigerator. Cold drinks or drinks in general could not be purchased in the Lazarus guesthouse.Despite the reception, which was never manned during our time, there was no contact person in the guest house. The Hotel Grenzfall is responsible for all concerns and questions. Check-out also takes place there. The hotel can then be reached on foot via the garden. This is really beautifully laid out and a relaxing pool in the city! Also perfect for travelers with dogs! There is a kindergarten, nursing home, residential home, hospice and a nursing school on the site. Here and there you meet residents who also enjoy and use the garden. Not far from the guest house you can visit the Mauercafé on the street and have drinks, snacks, cakes, etc.!We can only recommend the guest house and find it very positive that people with disabilities also work there! The topic of inclusion is well included and implemented there! We only have the following, kind suggestions for improving the guest house:- Better description of the procedure on the guesthouse homepage- Drinks vending machine in the guest house- Provision of fans in midsummer- Provision of small refrigerators for a fee in midsummer- Bowl, towel, blanket for the dogWe will definitely be happy to come back again!

The room was wonderfully equipped and perfectly clean. However, it is a house without a reception or any service (check-in takes place in a hotel located about 1 km away), and getting there is almost a miracle. We received a map at the hotel reception, which unfortunately did not lead us to our destination, we lost over an hour walking and looking for this place. It is also impossible to park in front of this facility, you have to walk a lot with your luggage. I don't recommend it.

Poor location: the hotel is located next to a nursing home for the elderly, finding the facility was almost impossible, no staff on site (you have to go to a hotel about a kilometer away to get the card/keys). Room with bathroom and balcony - nice, clean. Nice service, but a bit far away...

My wife and I stayed here in late summer 2023. I had not been in Berlin since 1977. My wife had never been here. We very much enjoyed having a quiet place to come "home" to each evening from the bustling city life. We also found the check-in a bit difficult, however an older gentleman, who worked there let my wife in to wait, while he led me through the garden to the Hotel Grenzenfal. Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast gave us a good start to each day.

The rooms are clean but are definitely past their best. It also takes forever for hot water to come out. You have to check in at the hotel next door. It's ok but unfortunately nothing more.

The rooms are great: large, bright and modernly decorated. The bathroom is newly renovated and completely sufficient. However, we found the breakfast to be inadequate: when we arrived in the breakfast room at 9:30 a.m. we were given no more eggs, sausage, cheese and also rolls had largely been eaten and were not replenished. For 14.50 euros this is not acceptable

This is an inclusive hotel/ guesthouse.I admire the people who thought of this and they are observing green living as well.My room was large and very clean. It's also near a tram and S Bahn station. A Berlin Wall Memorial is just a stones throw away.

Pleasantly quiet guest house to stay overnight with great greenery in the courtyard. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast.
