Note: Rating only refers to the rooms in the inn. The food in the evening was tasty, plentiful and inexpensive. We spent one night in the inn while traveling through. Unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable at all in our room. Contrary to the information on the website and in the flyer, this was not in a renovated condition, with the exception of the shower. We first had to ask for shower towels. The room was dark and not clean. Cobwebs and spiders in the corners and on the wooden ceiling, dirt on the television, and the upholstered sofa bed had a number of stains. The room smelled like the restaurant (schnitzel, fat, etc.). The path to the room was also not clean, the stairs were very slippery from grease. Overall, unfortunately not recommended, as you can feel much more comfortable in other restaurants/hotels with a little more surcharge.

Here you can beautifully hike along the Schandtauber. From Bettenfeld to Rothenburg. I like cycling in this area. We go here to celebrate and sometimes to eat.

Unfortunately, we didn't even get a chance to really evaluate the food and service because we were rudely turned away upon arrival because we didn't make a reservation. Unfortunately, I didn't have my crystal ball with me, which would have told me that you can only get a table there if you reserve and we were tired and hungry after a long journey to the region. There were tables of 6 with only 2 people occupied, you could have asked whether it was okay for guests to sit down. Anyway, to be treated so unkindly. We also had to take an extra detour for this.

Have eaten there several times. The food and the service there deserve at least 10 stars, the best rump steak from the Beefer that we have ever eaten, the cooking was spot on - every time; plus super delicious herb butter! The potato salad is simply world class, the portions are more than generous and the price-performance ratio is simply unbeatable.The extensive menu offers something for every taste.The service is always very friendly and accommodating and also very quick.Reservations are recommended; other guests also appreciate the high quality of the restaurant!We are happy to travel an hour for this culinary highlight!

Very good inn with regional Franconian cuisine. Still slaughter yourself.We had Schäufele, Flammkuchen schnitzel and chicken with fries. Everything was very tasty and generous portions.Since the inn always seems to be very busy, a table reservation is recommended!

The green tree is just great and I have to recommend it!Excellent local specialties and Franconian cuisine.The staff is very friendly, fast and competent.Plenty of space for larger groups, which of course have to be arranged by telephone.As soon as I'm in the area, I can't avoid a visit :-)

Great food, exclusively warm people and the room or luxury apartment was also great! 😃 Ideal for couples as a honeymoon suite or even with small children. It's a real little apartment with a whirlpool & sauna 😃 We can only recommend it and would be happy to come back!

A place where you would like to come back! The food is truly excellent. German cuisine with fair prices. Staff are very welcoming and extremely friendly and helpful. You will immediately feel at home here. Rooms could use an update, but the price of the rooms is also appropriate. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended as a stopover to your holiday destination or on the way back! Environment also beautiful.
