Perfect for reaching the Westfalenhalle. Pretty old now. Rooms are clean and functionally furnished. Quite expensive already.

The hotel has probably not been renovated for 50 years. Towel holder broken, holder for the shower spray broken. Shower door falls apart when opened. Everything is in very dilapidated condition. In addition, the cleaning is very poor. For example, there is dust on the shelf above the sink. You probably never clean there. Lady at reception was very nice. Beds were okay. Okay for 1 night without comfort, but the price doesn't do justice to the condition.

Hotel is well located if you visit Westfalenhalle, stadium or congress center. Some of the staff are friendly. The rooms are clean, but they all still have the charm of the 70s.But what's not acceptable is the price: €150 for this hovel is extortionate.

My experience in this hotel was catastrophic (we arrived on Thursday night and would have stayed until Sunday morning, meaning 3 next) and were greeted by a "temp". There were four of us, the beer wasn't the beer we got here in the tavern and, according to the lady, the snacks had been open for a few days and she said we had to see if they were still good. We then went to the respective rooms, 311 and 310. The circumstances in these rooms were impossible. Furnishings were left in the 70s. I almost got an electric shock because of the screw sticking out in the socket when I plugged my hair dryer in here, hair in the drain, smelly bathroom stains on the floor and water damage in the bathroom up on the ceiling. Breakfast was different every morning, coffee wasn't good and if something was empty, it was empty - i.e. you only had leftovers from those who had breakfast before! When we went to the reception the next evening and said that we didn't want to stay longer due to the circumstances, we were told that we would pass it on to the boss because we didn't know when they would be back in the house (the lady who called herself... The boss introduced the temporary worker). They didn't approach us again but then said in a conversation that it was our responsibility to address this, which we have! (We weren't really taken seriously) They twisted our words and asked us to pay for the last night because it was a package, which wasn't mentioned anywhere in the booking. Of course, due to the circumstances, we didn't want to stay last night, the lady didn't want to understand it and, as I said, didn't respond to it. That went on for so long that we spoke to our lawyer. The temporary worker was then the boss and the next moment also a lawyer, so really not professional. This is all about the money! The cancellation of the room for the last night was confirmed on the homepage, but no cancellation confirmation was ever sent by email! Instead they insisted on paying the full amount! We left a four-figure amount lying here, which was definitely not worth it! The hotel needs to be fundamentally renovated and the staff needs to be professionally trained!

The only positive thing about this hotel (2nd stay!) is the location to the Westfalen Halle! Please read completely! Very detailed experience report!I was here on business for the second time and was very, very disappointed! I've never experienced anything like this! 3 nights were booked, €250 per room/night! (Trade fair prices ok...) what we found in the two rooms and, above all, how it was dealt with is absolutely bottom drawer! See pictures! After the first night, all deficiencies were reported to reception, but nothing was done! After the second night we decided to leave, which should be completely understandable from the pictures! Before leaving, I canceled the last night, which was also confirmed to me on the homepage, but no cancellation confirmation ever arrived and the hotel manager, who didn't even want to look at the defects, expected me to pay the full amount . The pictures speak volumes and withdrawing from the contract should be out of the question! Only after several phone calls to my lawyer were we finally allowed to check out and pay! The hotel manager, who introduced herself to us as a temporary assistant, blames us for not reporting the defects to her, even though we reported the defects to reception the day before! Sorry, but why should I, as a guest, jump after a temporary worker so that I can get an acceptable room, even though I have already reported it to apparently qualified staff? Ultimately, neither the defects nor the withdrawal from the contract or the documented defects were addressed. Instead, as expected (from the other recessions) they just insisted on paying the entire price! Too bad! It's a shame because I was very happy with this hotel last year! Unfortunately this is no longer taken care of here!A renovation is desperately needed here and above all competent staff! All in all, everyone was very friendly, but that simply doesn't help with the service that was provided! The condition of the rooms was also the reason why we left earlier!Absolutely no recommendation and we definitely won't be coming back! This is simply not recommended, if only because of the silverfish, which unfortunately I couldn't document because they left as quickly as I had my cell phone in my hand!

I traveled with my son who is in a wheelchair. Before booking, I called the hotel to ask whether it was wheelchair accessible. This was affirmed. Unfortunately that is not the case. The door frames to the toilet are so narrow that it is impossible to get through with a normal wheelchair. This is an absolute no-go. I don't understand why it isn't communicated upon request. How is a wheelchair user supposed to go to the toilet? The hotel is fine for “normal” people. But a disaster for old people (with walkers) or people with disabilities. The service staff is very nice and tries to help wherever possible.
