Very unfriendly staff!!!I wanted to eat there this evening and was asked out again because the restaurant is apparently fully booked and all tables are reserved.The only strange thing is that there is no sign of this at the entrance and there are no reserved signs on the tables.Only when I had taken off my jacket and sat down at a free table did the waiter come and very rudely take me back to the door.It was also not checked whether someone has been vaccinated or recovered. The staff also did not wear FFP2 masks and no care was taken to wear masks at all.A well-known hotel restaurant that has a name in the old town of Soest shouldn't allow something like that.This can also scare away your customers and guests.That does not work at all.👎👎👎

We were in Soest for the “Altstadtzauber” event. There were performances by international street artists on the market square and around the cathedral. It was a very successful event and we really enjoyed it. The Hotel Domhof is located right next to the old town and just a few minutes from the main train station. The rooms are OK for 1-2 nights. The beds comfortable.

We were there for dinner on Sunday. There was a fillet pot and a Balkan plate. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The liver was too dark and hard. The schnitzel was breaded as if it had been bought ready-made and was not eaten. The pork steak went.There was far too much cheese on the fillet pot. There was no flesh to be seen. The food was put down, the waiter was no longer in sight.....The prices went up by 40%. And that for cheap meat.There is no recommendation for this.

We've eaten here several times now and absolutely love it. The food is super tasty, from the grill plate to the Argentinian steak, which was fried to a perfect medium rare.The portions are very generous, so that even “big” guests will be full. The service is friendly and very attentive.We'll definitely be back.

For the first, but definitely not the last, time I've eaten here. We were a large birthday group of 25 people. The food was served promptly, hot and very delicious by a very nice service person. I personally found the atmosphere very appealing and rustically cozy.I'd love to come back soon!

We went there for dinner with the family on Christmas Day and we really enjoyed it. Even though we were expecting a menu for Christmas, each of us found something suitable from the large selection on the menu. The service was very friendly and often asked the table whether there were any additional drinks to be ordered or whether everything was OK with the food. There is also a small selection of different dishes for children. The price/performance ratio is appropriate. We all really enjoyed it and we will come back.I can't judge the hotel.

Went to dinner in the Domhof today and had reserved a table for 6 p.m. Due to the bad weather, we tried to stop in a little earlier - this was fine and we were allowed to take a seat. The restaurant was increasingly filling up. When we had finished eating and an impromptu group entered the restaurant, a waitress came to our table and asked if we were finished and didn't want to leave the restaurant. The question as to whether we could order another espresso was answered in the negative... The owner probably “smelled” the chance of an additional income in the evening. We have NEVER experienced anything like this before. Perplexed, we left the restaurant when asked - of course the owners saved themselves the tip through this action.It's a shame, despite the really good food - never again :)
