Very friendly staff, from reception to breakfast room and cleaning staff. Breakfast was well prepared and regularly replenished with fresh products. The hotel room was very clean, enough space and good hygiene in the bathroom. Our compliments! The only downside was the beds. The mattresses are extremely hard and we had painful limbs every morning. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel centrally located at the castle. The room/bathroom was large enough and perfectly located overlooking the greenery. The breakfast was varied and of really good quality... there were bakery rolls! The breakfast service employee was attentive and nice. Anyone who particularly values friendly... Reception staff should look for another hotel.

Very well-kept and clean rooms with comfortable beds and a heavenly night's sleep. The breakfast was also fantastic. There is a star deduction for the unfortunately fake friendliness of the reception, which sometimes gives the guest the feeling of being a nuisance.

Since I have known Bad Berleburg and especially the area around the castle from a young age and have spent a lot of my life there, I can unreservedly recommend the location of the hotel! The current exterior design of the entire complex has become very beautiful and tasteful and invites you to linger (restaurants all around, castle directly opposite). It is the first time that we have booked a room in the Flying Classroom. I would like to share some pluses and minuses from our experience:On the plus side:- Very friendly service when calling there (for example, the key could be picked up by another person in the afternoon),- our dog was able to travel with us without any problems and there was information about local vets, a "dog in the room" warning sign (nice idea!) and food bowls in the room,- Balcony with wooden furniture and a wonderful view of the castle garden,- Charging station for electric cars available. On the minus side:- A "Summer Special" deal was advertised on the homepage, which offered two nights' accommodation with breakfast. Since I wasn't sure whether this also applied to rooms with dogs, I asked by phone whether it could still be booked. I was then told - very friendly - that the quota had been exhausted. Which is fine. I then confirmed a booking over the phone, which was about €40 more expensive (and without breakfast - which we didn't need). However, at that point I could have easily booked the offer via the homepage; different rooms were shown to me there. We should make improvements and delete offers on a daily basis, because that made us feel a little silly.- Our booking confirmation says “themed double room”. However, we were given a double room without any “decor” or a recognizable theme. This was probably because it was a dog room, but this wasn't communicated that way either and the disappointment was there with a room price of 130 €/night (including dog and tourist tax). For this price we have stayed in much better rooms both at home and abroad. It was clean, the beds were good and the bathroom was modern and functional, but that certain something that we were looking forward to was simply missing. Thought: If you wanted to upgrade the "dog room" a bit, a dog theme would also be conceivable without much effort - paw print on the wall, corresponding pictures, etc. Then it would be a themed room again ;-) Or point out when booking that this is a simple room, then the expectations would be different.Overall, a nice hotel with lots of well-furnished rooms and good restaurants. A great base for exploring the area. For us personally, the price-performance ratio was from the above. Reasons not very good.

We really liked the “German” room in the Hotel Flying Classroom. Very nice furnishings, modern, interesting because there were German sayings written on the walls. Tasteful furnishings, even the curtains were in German.😉 The breakfast in the associated hotel "Alte Schule" a few steps across the street was rich, enough choice and simply highly recommended. Always highly recommended. Many thanks also to the extremely friendly staff.
