We stayed at the hotel for three nights at the end of October 2024 and can absolutely recommend it!The reception and all the employees were always extremely friendly. Our room was large and well equipped for our purposes. The breakfast buffet was really great, there was everything your heart could desire. Good coffee and a good selection of real bakery rolls. This is rare in hotels these days.We also really liked the wellness area, which we tried out on the first evening. For our last evening we planned an extensive walk including a visit to the salt cave. The salt cave was also really beautiful and we enjoyed pure relaxation. However, the subsequent wellness session was ended prematurely by a large group of regular guests - who probably come regularly every fortnight. The behavior and the noise were so unbearable that we ran away after a short time. Very, very unfortunate…For us there is no reason to deduct points, but perhaps the group should be made aware of their arrogant behavior.Nevertheless, we would visit this hotel again at any time if we were in the region again.

absolutely loveless.Someone had a checklist of what the minimum requirements of a 4* hotel were and then systematically worked through it by buying the cheapest one.internet: “check - 4mbit is enough”Spa: “Check - cheapest plastic cabin in the steam room and the requirements didn't say that the spa area shouldn't smell of sewage. Plus, we never had a proper sauna in the basement. Of course, we neither preserved nor destroyed the historical industrial cellar atmosphere, but rather mutated it somehow.”design & aesthetics: “nope… not necessary. In terms of design, we base ourselves on a GDR clerk's office and combine this with artistic elements from factory farming. “We also placed LED lights in various colors, like in a 12 year old’s gamer room, and make sure it looks sterile… it may be that we have to use the location as a Covid or monkey plague vaccination station.”Work table: “Well, you can probably work on a bed side table too”TV: “If necessary. But if the guest can’t see anything because there is no aligned seating and the angle doesn’t match the TV, that’s their problem.”Drinking water in the room: “What kind of drinking water? The guest has a faucet and hands to scoop.”Safe for valuables: “Who travels with valuables?! “We are not liable for anything.”Zimmer: “Sure, but we make the walls out of cardboard. Then you can at least hear when someone approaches… another reason why we don’t need a safe.”Vending machine with food in the lobby: “It’s the guest’s own fault if they arrive late and all restaurants are available”________________________________*all quotes were invented by me and only reflect my personal impression of the hotel #satire

I can only rate the wellness area because I have visited it several times as an external guest. And this is really very well done, good saunas and the salt cave is really very pleasant, relaxing and, if I can say so, also inexpensive.A clear recommendation from me 👌🏻I was always welcomed and looked after in a very nice, competent and helpful manner. Everyone I got to know from the Ruhr Inn team was great. The location is a little hidden but only a few minutes away from the city center and that too on foot. There are definitely enough parking spaces available.

Super! You can't tell from the outside of the hotel what it has to offer inside. Spacious, super clean rooms, beautiful wellness area, extremely nice staff, especially in the breakfast room, very good breakfast selection that easily leaves much more expensive hotels behind. Good location, right on the Ruhrtal cycle path. Simply great.

The price-performance ratio is right here. Good breakfast, clean standard rooms, 3 beautiful saunas can be used free of charge by hotel guests. Free parking spaces are also available right in front of the door. The external appearance of the hotel is very simple. The lady at the reception was very friendly. Hattinger's old town is only about 400 meters away and is also well worth seeing, not just because of the many beautiful restaurants.

A modern hotel with very friendly staff, a beautiful garden, covered bicycle parking spaces (including charging option for e-bikes) and a varied breakfast. Various environmental protection measures (water saving buttons, switchable sockets) have been implemented without compromising comfort. The quietness in the room is worth mentioning.Excellent place to stay overnight on the Ruhr cycle path.
