We were there for breakfast (with reservation). Unfortunately the service was really bad and completely inattentive. We didn't feel welcome at all. We had to ask for coffee, which is served in pots at tables, after 15 minutes. In general, guests constantly had to ask for things on the buffet that were no longer there (butter), there was no fruit. We weren't there at the end of the buffet time, but 90 minutes before. Unfortunately for around €20 per person it was a complete failure. Totally a shame.

Location very good... one star deducted because of direct location on the main road, but with a view of the lake..In our opinion, the organization of the breakfast buffet leaves a lot to be desired…We were registered for the birthday breakfast with over 10 people.At 9:30 a.m. (breakfast until 11 a.m.) there were no more rolls (apparently baked), scrambled eggs, butter...only leftover cold cuts, cheese, etc...But it wasn't a bad thing since there were no more plates available...Upon request, something was added, sometimes very hesitantly….Half an hour after arriving (the coffee was now only warm), we were able to have breakfast... but first without rolls, which came directly to the table later...Sorry, but I don't understand...

I can only judge the cafe. The very nice staff made up for the lack of organization. The delicious waffles (due to lack of enough cake at 3 p.m.) and the café specialties are worth a visit.

Nice family hotel right on the quiet SeestrasseWere there for two nights and had overnight stays/Fridays and also ate there in the evening ala card.The service is top in terms of friendliness and customer orientationWhen it's full, the employees reach their limits, but they make up for it brilliantlyThe room and bathroom were clean, things could still be renovated here and there, but it didn't affect us in any wayPrice-performance ratio in the restaurant was just as good as the lovingly prepared and plentiful breakfast buffetWe'd love to come back

We really liked the forester's house at Möhnesee. It took a while to get service because there were some misunderstandings between the staff, but we waited patiently.We enjoyed the food and the drinks were delicious.The view of the Möhnesee was very, very beautiful. It is recommended to reserve seats in advance.

A very nice hotel with nice, clean and tidy rooms. The gastronomy is very extensive and very tasty. Great breakfast and generous portions of hot dishes.There was nothing at all for us to complain about here.But the best thing about our stay was the service, which was super friendly, attentive and more than helpful. More of our wishes were fulfilled than we expected, sometimes even without asking. We have never experienced such friendly staff before. Also extremely dog-friendly.We would be happy to come back.

Stopped here for a coffee after a trip around Lake Möhnesee. Great atmosphere with a view of the Möhnesee. The waiter was really nice and served us quickly and friendly. However, our dog was served before us without an order being placed. He probably looked at the waiter quite thirstily with his puppy dog eyes. Thank you very much again, also from our Flory. 🥰We will definitely be back and can happily recommend the Forsthaus.

Full points. Some of those who were there are probably wondering why... It's not all perfect but when you consider that the owner of this hotel took over 5 years ago and then without knowing it had to build up a buffer after 2.5 years As we get through Corona in the next 2.5 years, it is entirely understandable that there will still be small improvements here and there. The hotel itself is distinguished with 2 stars. When I saw the sign at dinner I couldn't believe my eyes. In many 4 star hotels, plates and glasses are handled incorrectly. Plates are cleared even though someone at the table is still eating... and many things that are not appropriate according to savoir-vivre. Here, however, I was very positively surprised. The breakfast the next day was also very tasty. It can't be the case that just because the waitress handles the glasses correctly and only takes the plate away when everyone has eaten, I give a 5-star rating. No... it wasn't just that... However, good service when it comes to food means a lot to me. After all, the event in the evening is not just about the food on the plate but about everything. But what was decisive for this rating for me was the fact that no matter what I asked, I answered: "Sure! We can do it!" was answered and implemented immediately. We had booked the Jr. Suite and the terrace invited us to have breakfast there. Unfortunately there was no table there... A quick question and the answer is above. :) We also wanted to have dinner upstairs and there was a positive response there too, but with the tropical temperatures it was too warm to eat without shade. I didn't know if they had umbrellas and we didn't necessarily have to eat on the terrace, but I think even that would have been possible if they had umbrellas. However. The staff is incredibly important to me and the service is binding. For me, no SPA facility or marble floor in the lobby can compete.Please excuse any orthographic errors.EDIT:Had dinner there today. Still good. :)
