Beekenhof

The Beekenhof is located on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve. The area with its romantic, traditional half-timbered houses extends under old trees. The first impression was very positive and put a smile on your face. The driveway to the courtyard extends along the main building. After arriving at the farm, the host will be informed. After a friendly welcome and a little chat, we were shown the area and then the holiday apartment. The holiday apartments are clean and normally equipped. If something is missing, we will ensure that things are taken care of upon request. The holiday apartments have seating, e.g. to have breakfast outside. There are sufficient parking spaces on site. There is a small shed on site with bicycles or ride-on cars and pedal cars for the children. There is also a small playground with swings, a sandpit and a football goal, and there is also a trampoline. All play equipment can be viewed from almost all holiday apartments, so the children can safely be left to run around on their own. After consultation with the owner, you can ride in the riding hall every day. After consultation, the children can prepare their horse themselves for riding lessons under supervision. Since Mr. Siemsglüss has years of experience with horses and riders, he realistically assesses the children's abilities and "only" gives them the challenges that the children can accomplish. He pays attention to correct riding and gives tips and advice. Accompanied performances are possible.There is a room at the riding hall where, among other things, there is a table tennis table and a table football table. There are enough areas on the site where the horses are allowed to graze. In addition to horses, he keeps Siemsglüss cattle and chickens. A dog and a cat can also be found. Fresh eggs can be purchased from the chickens for a small fee. The owner is very reliable and sticks to agreements. In general, every employee at the farm is very friendly, open and answers every question. We felt well received and taken seriously.This is the third time we have stayed here in different holiday apartments and we were happy with each one. Another plus point is the incredible quiet. Day trips can be taken with a journey time of approximately 15 to 30 minutes depending on what is planned. Excursion tips are available in a folder in the accommodation or in the form of flyers.The only sticking point: the WiFi isn't the best. But leisurely walks or game evenings or reading hours work too 😉.We were able to relax well on each of our visits and would be happy to come back.

We were there for the exhibition. Great ambience, only the catering industry seemed overwhelmed. There was nothing left to drink apart from wine in the early afternoon. It's a shame, it could be organized differently.
