Overall a good choice for a hotel. The landlord is very friendly and nice, you can see that the hotel is well maintained and the breakfast buffet is very rich and high quality. The room I was in (room 3) was OK in itself, but unfortunately the shower door is a little strange because it doesn't close properly and so the water flows out of the shower when I shower. In addition, the holder for the shower head was already broken. This makes the whole thing seem pretty neglected. Otherwise the location is quite OK, unless you have a room facing the street, because then you are sometimes woken up by the cars.

We felt completely comfortable in the Steinerwirt! A really nice hotel where you can find a quiet, feel-good atmosphere even in high season, surrounded by meadows, fruit trees, farm animals and forest, with extensive mountain views. The staff is consistently great and very welcoming. The furnishings are a mix of traditional Alpine style and modern natural materials. I attended a workshop at the hotel and then extended it twice more because I felt really comfortable there and was able to relax - with a very good price-performance ratio. For me, everything was right here and whenever we are in the region, we would love to come back to the Steinerwirt!+ My double room for single use was very nice and large, with a balcony and mountain views. The furniture consisted of modern solid wood furniture, the large king-size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom with a walk-in shower had natural stone tiles and was also a pleasant size. Now in midsummer, the useful insect protection and the electric blinds in particular offered well-thought-out equipment. Every day there was a large bottle of fresh water in the room.+ I ate in the restaurant four times. The food and drinks were excellent every time. It is important to use ingredients from our own production or from the region. The price-performance ratio was also very good here. I won't soon forget the trout, the homemade elderberry spritzer and the Malakoff cake.+ The breakfast buffet is not overloaded and offers everything you need. This also shows sensible sustainability, which avoids having to throw away a lot in the end. Egg dishes are freshly prepared to order.+ The atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxed and positive. The staff was always friendly, professional and solution-oriented. The ladies at reception are very helpful, give good tips for excursions in the area and make whatever they can possible. As a guest you can also feel that there is obviously a good working atmosphere here.+ Hiking trails start directly at the hotel. From the stop opposite you can reach Mirabellplatz in the center of Salzburg by bus in 30-40 minutes.

Very nice, spacious rooms, although unfortunately without a refrigerator, large TV, balcony with a view of the Staufen... spotlessly clean and great cloakroom area! Breakfast with excellent egg dishes, good coffee and a selection of freshly sliced fruit are pleasant in the morning. Salmon or local pickled trout, for example, etc. would round off the selection nicely. The space is extremely inviting. Lunch and evening menus are well mixed, service is very committed and there is a general feel-good atmosphere! All in all recommended, fantastic location and it has class…. You have to be careful when driving up the road because unfortunately there are a lot of potholes, some of which are deep, especially when you get to the top, which doesn't look at all like this hotel... the last but sad point is the non-existent ban on smoking on the balconies...

A big thank you for 1 week of vacation _ accommodation with breakfast 👍.Rooms clean and spacious, friendly staff, delicious breakfast (there was something about "tasty" 🤣) - there's nothing to complain about 😉👍From the accommodation you can quickly reach Salzburg by bus (stop in front of the front door) - the German side is also just a stone's throw away.The open-air museum can be reached on foot.Unreservedly recommended 👍

I actually didn't want to write a review after our meal there two days ago because I don't think much of bashing the already troubled restaurant online. But: after reading the owner's extremely cheeky comments on the bad reviews here ("You're talking on the internet but you have no idea what it looks like behind the scenes, just never come back!" or a bad review “Bravo!” because of the food, I changed my mind. The cordon bleu was bad and the goulash was fatty and stringy. The food just wasn't good, that's it, and now the owners can do whatever they want with the information. Bravo or never write again or maybe take the reviews seriously instead of being so embarrassing. You can learn professional reactions to criticism from other companies. This is kindergarten.The location and the service from India are positive!

We have never been a guest at the hotel, but we live on the German side and are always amazed at HOW much better the service and quality of the food is often in Austria, just across the river. The people are friendly, just service geniuses, the opening times are 1 to 2 hours longer than on the Berchtesgaden side. And that’s why there are five stars for Austrian hospitality in the restaurant. Must try: soup with cheese dumplings and fried chicken salad

The hotel has a beautiful location in the middle of Bergen. The entire hotel including the room was very clean. The view from the balcony was priceless. Breakfast was very tasty and nothing was missing. Dinner is highly recommended. The staff was very friendly and nice -1A. There was enough free parking space right in front of the house. We were very satisfied and would like to come back.
