Don't know what was so wrong with us but the landlady was extremely unfriendly. After making the reservation we received an email saying no problem if we come outside opening hours, the key to the room will be left in the key box. But then also, please call us if you arrive later than 6 p.m. Well then I called that day to let them know that we would be arriving later, which apparently wasn't a problem at all.After 3 hours of driving and still an hour to go, we got the most disheartening call.Dear landlady on the phone screams at us as if we were her children instead of customers.Where are we staying? What comes to mind? I called that we would arrive at 6 p.m.??? Please amend this email to avoid future misunderstandings and not to yell at more people who pay YOU. In any case, I told her that we would arrive later than 6pm AS REQUESTED IN THE EMAIL!!Then in the morning someone opens our door at 9 a.m. even though the rooms should only be cleaned when spoken to. So I have no idea who that was. But apparently there is no privacy here either. Not a big surprise after the call.The only reason we stayed was because of my husband's surgery. Save yourself the headache. So no thanks and definitely never again!

A vintage Vespa tour through the Palatinate Forest with two overnight stays “took me” to Bann. The room was spacious; the bathroom serves its purpose. Everything was clean and tidy - just comfortable. The friendly hosts Ms. & Mr. Borst contributed to this with their personal touch. - A varied breakfast with delicious coffee and orange juice provided a great start to the day.

Ended up at this hotel by chance because of a gift voucher.Loved it very much. Very friendly hostess and host. Fantastic breakfast. The area is very attractive for beautiful walks. We were sorry to leave again after two nights, there was still plenty to do.
