Sadly the minihotel, despite the many positive reviews, disappointed us. When we got there, there were many little irritations such as dirty bedsheets (hairs and spots), missing toiletpaper and soap, dirty toilet and a shower without curtain that made a very loud, annoying noise while using. as we contacted them about the toiletpaper and soap, we got a reply to look again (no succes ofcourse) and just use shower soap. that was a fine alternative, but a very unprofessional reaction from a hotel that advocates a personal, informal approach. additionally we booked the hotel because of the unique, colourful rooms but in reality these rooms were so curated in a certain 'vibe' that it missed coziness (and nice lights). There were also not really instructions on how to clean the room.a very positive point was the location: near the beautiful park planten un blomen, in a nice area and the city centre was very accessible by U-Bahn.

Fun, quirky, curated rooms. Very comfortable and an excellent value. Our room was chuck full of little design details that made our stay special. Management (which operates remotely) was very responsible, courteous and helpful. Location was absolutely fantastic as well--a very hip neighbourhood right next to the university and convenient to the main train station, city centre, Altona, Sternschanze, and all the city's other attractions.
