Always very happy. Great ambience and super delicious food and very nice staff. Very happy again and again. Favorite hotel.

Quietly located hotel.Free parking available directly at the hotel.The staff was friendly.Room was clean, maybe not quite up to date.The division over 2 floors takes some getting used to.Breakfast was perfect.All in all, I'd love to come back.

Very nicely located, cozy hotel with individually designed rooms. Friendly service that always made an effort. The only downside was our room, which unfortunately couldn't be (completely) darkened, so the night was over very, very early. The breakfast was okay, but god knows not extensive.

10 out of 5 stars...!!!Then it actually occurred to me that I had not yet rated the hotel/restaurant that is probably the most worthy of mention and that has accompanied us through all stages of our lives since our unforgettable wedding celebrated there 20 years ago...The fact that not only we, initially as a couple/family, but now also with many friends from near and far, visit the mill on the Schlossberg again and again - just like that or on special occasions - actually speaks for itself. Just last week, my dear friend traveled from Karlsruhe for the second time in a year to enjoy the absolutely unbeatable "Saturday Special" with me.What can I say? Once again we can't stop raving about it. As soon as you enter this beautiful property, you take your breath away at the completely captivating view of the inner courtyard from the first moment, framed by the lovingly restored walls, which continues through all the parts in and around the mill. Be it in the always elegant and yet so inviting mill restaurant, the former cowshed, which is still vaguely recognizable through the beautiful ceiling and the great columns, or in the cozy, cozy bistro, on the great terrace, which was the dream location for our wedding back then . It has now been expanded to the rear with the great sculpture garden, where you can admire impressive art while strolling past lots of greenery, water and the great lake stage, as is the case throughout the entire house, which reflects the unmistakable passion of the architect of this gem, the boss's father , for art and something special. You can't get enough of the many details and, as is the case with me and all my companions without exception, you immediately take a deep breath and fall into an enjoyable relaxation.This is crowned when, as we love to do, you have booked an arrangement - in terms of price, I emphasize that with countless !!!, UNBEATABLE!!! - entering one of the great, individual rooms, a wonderful view of the inner courtyard or terrace from all of them and then, of course, the highlight, being treated to the highest level of culinary delights - both visually and tastefully - by Michael Krennrich and his team. The "Saturday Special", for example, with a 5-course surprise menu, where you can express your wishes or non-wishes without any problems. This also applies to the surprise menu on the menu. Since pictures often say more than words, I'll just add some photographic impressions below. From the mill, one of many unique rooms and, above all, of course, from the truly indescribable dishes/menus prepared with so much love and skill. This kitchen cooks at a star level. It is not my place to comment on these as everyone is, of course, entitled to their own opinion. But, and I have no personal benefit whatsoever from what I write here other than to satisfy my sense of justice, it hurts me a little to read statements like "There is a lack of love and finesse (in eating)." The lady couldn't possibly have eaten at the same restaurant...I also fundamentally don't understand that just because the curtains (actually completely opaque, as I can confirm) didn't provide 100% blackout and the breakfast was supposedly just "okay", you only give one star. What about all the other points - see above and, what hasn't been acknowledged here yet, the super courteous and friendly service? Be it at the reception or in the restaurant - people always look after you and ask if everything is OK. Talking to each other helps...

Very nice restaurant with pleasantly unobtrusive service and a good selection. Everyone can find something here. We are already looking forward to our next visit.Reservation makes sense...

We were guests this weekend and yes, the hotel itself with its facilities is great and so is the location. Unfortunately, we found that the hotel management had learned little or nothing from the pandemic period in terms of customer satisfaction. And how important guest satisfaction is and always will be. Due to a family incident, we were only able to stay as guests for one night instead of two and the hotel management did not find it necessary to accommodate us in any way or find a compromise for the shortened stay. Therefore we had to pay the full price for 2 nights.

Ratty atmosphere; Brunch, a very limited selection of fine dining. Lobster bisque? Probably swam past it, more like pumpkin soup...etc. Tight spaces for self-service. …

We were here for dinner. Unfortunately very disappointing. Far too expensive for the given quality of the food. I wanted to give it another chance, but unfortunately it fell through. There is a lack of love and finesse! Too bad!
