Our daughter was in the school camp in Vorra and I would like to raise my concerns about a situation that occurred during that stay. The children were unwell and some came home with gastrointestinal problems, which led to uncertainty. These incidents have caused me to have concerns about the hygiene and quality standards in relation to food or water supply in the school camp. I therefore appeal to the institution to take all necessary measures to avoid such health problems in the future. This could include, for example, increased scrutiny of hygiene standards, food quality or water quality.

We stayed here in the next building on a school trip in 1994. Large park and a great starting point for hiking

As a teenager, I had a wonderful time with my school class in this rustic castle with a beautiful park. The demands that are now placed on a school camp leaves me speechless. Old furniture and showers in a castle? And not even a pool! Well so what.....

The home management is super friendly and went out of their way for us. Everyone else there was nice and helpful too. Everything is totally uncomplicated. The atmosphere was great and the food was also completely fine. Breakfast was plentiful and there was something for everyone (just dry rolls and tuna, as was claimed here.) All special features (gluten, lactose, etc.) were taken into account. You can tell that they care about the children. The supervisor's rooms were very comfortable and there was even a hairdryer. There was a separate teacher's room with a coffee machine, tea and all kinds of drinks. We will definitely come back. Thank you for the nice days.

We came for the children's chess tournament. They were always happy to be together. But they are not cozy and comfortable rooms for adults.

So I don't know what everyone has? We were in Vorra almost 6 months ago with my class and another 5th grade class. We visited the Beautiful Castle for 3 days. Our class was in the castle and the other class was in the Sonnenhaus. Overall There were also 4 teachers who were all very nice (unfortunately one teacher had to leave because she wasn't feeling well at all). The food was okay and the stay was great. I can only recommend everything here :)

Unfortunately, I can't agree with the many good reviews. Most of what is described here as “good” is the opposite. But let's start from the beginning. The journey actually went without any problems, but before you could even get into the castle you had to wait about a quarter of an hour for anyone to come out. When the first staff came out after waiting, we had to put our suitcases down and take shelter under a shelter to listen to a 10-minute briefing of the rules. After this was achieved, there were brief problems with the division of classes into the two houses. Since I was there as a tutor with 5 other tutors (to look after the children), we moved into the extremely small house that was ours for the next 3 days. The first shock: it was so small that the 7 dwarves could have lived there. One of our friends (with a normal size) couldn't fit into a single one of the available beds. But the strange smell that wafted through the entire tiny house was just as bad. Despite all this, the stay there wasn't too bad because you weren't there alone. After we made our beds with the existing bed linen, I noticed a stain on my bed sheet that looked like tomato sauce, which seemed a bit disgusting to me since I sleep on it. Things weren't exactly better in the “sun house” (which is also one of the neighboring houses). However, the rooms were acceptable. (I don't even want to talk about the moldy bathrooms.) When everything was ready in the rooms, we went to the castle to eat. There were tiny portions but they were ok because you didn't want any more of this disgusting dish anyway. There was pasta with tomato sauce. Sounds good, but it wasn't. The sauce was way too sweet and the noodles were overcooked. Apparently there are no spices because they weren't present in a single dish. Sadly, the food hasn't improved either. For dinner and breakfast there was a dry roll with interesting spreads like tuna or a very sweet nut nougat spread, which wasn't too bad for a few people. What actually shocked me was that one of the five graders (without any intolerances) threw up after breakfast. But what was positive here was the huge park that was even equipped with a mini playground. In general the ambience was very nice (there is a star for that :))The staff was also very nice which made the stay better. Overall the stay was ok.
