Picturesquely located next to the forest and directly at the Windgfällweiher, this small hotel was by far the highlight of our motorcycle tour.The staff were always friendly, helpful and very attentive to the guests and deserved special praise.The rooms were very modern with lots of wooden elements and we even had our own balcony.Hotel guests can also book a free appointment for the in-house barrel sauna with a view of the Windgfällweiher.The food in the hostel's restaurant is a bit pricey, but worth every euro and prepared with great attention to detail.The breakfast buffet consists of many delicious, high-quality regional products.The train station in the neighboring town can be reached on foot via a path through the forest and various hiking trails start from the hotel.Even though the weather wasn't great during our stay, we had a relaxing and very pleasant stay there for several days.We are already looking forward to our next vacation there!

As part of a short vacation, we had lovely days in the Black Forest and our accommodation at the charcoal mill by the lake. In addition to the good and clean rooms, the friendly staff and the really excellent food are particularly noteworthy. All dishes are prepared and served with love.

We spent a long weekend at the charcoal burning factory and were very satisfied. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness and great attentiveness of the team. But also the rooms and the good food. The area with the lake is very beautiful and is ideal for running/hiking. We found the street a bit noisy at times, but that depends on the individual.

A beautiful hotel in the middle of nature! We had a room with a large balcony and lake view, beautiful! The service was also very good, very friendly and competent employees, concerns were dealt with immediately.The food in the restaurant is simply great, especially the salad plate was world class! The breakfast is also very good and extensive and was refilled immediately when something was empty. Since the hotel is rather small but still has a spacious restaurant, it was really pleasant at the breakfast buffet, no crowds and plenty of seating!Unfortunately we were only there for one night, but we definitely want to come back because we really enjoyed and enjoyed it and you feel very welcome here. :-)

The location of the hotel is fantastic for anyone who likes to be in nature. Our room was relatively small and we lacked a table and chair. However, for our short stay it was fine.The service varies quite a bit depending on the individual. We were able to get to know the entire spectrum.The breakfast is very good! Fresh fruit salad that doesn't require a can, very tasty bread and a wide selection of jam, sausage and cheese. Nothing is missing here and even special requests are fulfilled.

Very nice hotel with a beautiful location. We had the large suite; This was also very beautiful and offered a great view of the lake. The service is friendly.The only catch is that the walls are very thin. You can hear everything that happens in the hallway and in the rooms around you. In addition, parking spaces are relatively limited.Nevertheless, our stay was really nice and pleasant, we can only recommend the hotel.
