Poorly cleaned, moldy bathroom, the toilet leaked and the water flowed up to the door frame into the other room. After we asked the staff about it, they didn't even wipe the sticky fridge, but just commented that it wasn't their fault since the homeowner wasn't doing anything. You also seemed very annoyed, quote: "...and that's why I had to come up here now?" As you said goodbye, you said: "But a bad rating doesn't help, I can't do anything about it!" Photos are in the rating by Mr. Nilßon. Our stay was in September 2021 for 2 nights.

Absolutely horrible experience. Staff hardly spoke German. Rooms with mold, hair and a general dirty condition. The toilet was not firmly in the floor and tipped over and the water ran into the room. When we pointed this out, they explained in broken German that she couldn't do anything about it and why she was even asked into the room. The description of the ad didn't match the room either. The foreign hair everywhere in the bathroom and the shower gel in the moldy corner made me sick. Breakfast was okay. We could have stored our bikes in the non-lockable garage next to the weapon. They preferred to leave them in the car. We've really never experienced anything like this before.

It was a very nice stay with friends.The hosts were very friendly, there was a good and plentiful breakfast.The 5 person apartment was extremely clean. We were guests twice, 4 and 2 years ago.We would have liked to come back;It's a shame it's closed.

We stayed at the guesthouse with several guests in September. The staff was friendly, but sometimes overwhelmed, which was admitted. This was partly reflected in the cleanliness. Consideration should be given to hiring more staff. It's not nice if the minibar or shower still contains things from the previous guests. Likewise, the balconies are (currently?) not clean. Full ashtrays in public areas are disgusting for non-smokers.If you promise dinner and also praise ribs, you shouldn't take a vacation at short notice. Overall, the guesthouse has potential and with a little more effort and attention to detail is recommended.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend the guesthouse. The staff is very nice and helpful, but unfortunately that's not enough. There's a lot of potential, but something definitely needs to be changed about the cleanliness. The rooms were clean at first glance, but upon closer inspection there were many dirty corners. Something also needs to change on the terrace and outside.The breakfast was lovingly prepared and also sufficient. The coffee was very tasty.

Great and quiet location in the middle of the Fichtelgebirge near the Ochsenkopf. Clean and comfortably furnished.The owner is very friendly and accommodating and the gigantic breakfast gives you energy for all sorts of activities throughout the day.The beer tastes good too!

Overall it was a good stay. The hotel is easily accessible, really tastefully decorated and friendly and approachable people will help you. Great style, great location and still very quiet.. you immediately feel at home. Beds very comfortable and always friendly staff!

I have to shake my head a bit about the often praised cleanliness. We still had leftover toothpaste from the previous person on the floor in the bathroom. The towels were still wet and the bed linen smelled like a wet dog. But the rooms themselves weren't bad at all. The furniture is no longer the newest and in the bathroom you feel like you have been transported back to the 80s. The breakfast offered was very tasty. Special requests are taken into account and the chef was always friendly and never annoyed. The location of the guesthouse was also ok. Nice and quiet and the perfect starting point for beautiful hikes on the Ochsenkopf. If you are traveling with children, I would recommend the other side (Bischofsgrün) as there is much more going on, including when it comes to eating out. My conclusion: if you placed more value on cleanliness, I could recommend the guesthouse 100%. But since this is currently not the case, points will be deducted.

This place has a unique atmosphere, it’s arty and free spirited, you feel right at home. It’s like visiting a friends house. The location is very good, almost everywhere we went was max a 15 min drive. The breakfast is amazing, the staff is very friendly. Absolute recommendation

A beautiful house with a large garden, quiet and conveniently located for excursions. The welcome from one of the owners was very friendly, including welcome coffee (the coffee is very good!). The room was nice and functional, with access to its own small terrace, equipped with chairs and a table), with a view of the garden. Great for welcoming or ending the day. Small (really small) complaints were resolved immediately and courteously by the two very friendly owners and the staff. The breakfast time, which was stated as 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., was very flexible. The good breakfast was ready at the desired time.Overall, the whole atmosphere was very relaxed and familiar. We felt very comfortable and will come back. Mille grazie per tutto :)

Extremely nice staff, very accommodating and hardworking. Fabulous breakfast, also vegan after my advance notice. Room with balcony had a beautiful view, guesthouse is in a quiet location in beautiful surroundings, but also not far from the Ochsenkopflift Fleckl Süd or the Waldmoorbad with great nature.
