Staying here is an experience – thanks to the unique ambience, beautiful surroundings, delicious food and warm service!Unfortunately, booking the stay was only possible on site due to the lack of your own credit card and the hotel being unable to be reached by telephone. This meant that we had to worry about an available room until we arrived. But the fear was rewarded after arrival.E-bikes can be parked in the lockable bicycle garage opposite the castle. A bicycle service station with air pump and tools is available, as are sockets for charging e-bikes. The hotel is certified by the ADFC as bicycle-friendly 'Bed+Bike' accommodation.The ambience throughout the castle, from the reception to the restaurant to the room, is beautiful - a mix of historical flair and modern design. The entire castle is very well maintained and clean.The surroundings are wonderful. The room had a great view of the castle park and the wide landscape. The castle is very quiet. The peace and quiet is only occasionally disturbed by the honking trains on the railway line not far away.The food was very good. The dinner (spinach tagliatelle and salad) was very tasty and well portioned. The breakfast was very varied and didn't miss anything. The background music was very pleasant.The service staff was consistently very friendly and cordial.Price-performance ratio very good. Clear recommendation – especially for cyclists as a starting point or rest stop!

The town of Hopferau is relatively quiet and remote, but also quite central to get everywhere.A very beautiful ancient property awaits you here.As is the case here (and elsewhere too), the staff is not professional at the moment, but they are quite friendly. The breakfast is good and we also serve fresh scrambled eggs upon request.

A night in a room worthy of a castle with wooden moldings and stained glass windows. The night was very calm and the breakfast was OK even if it could still be improved. A beautiful place that we recommend without any worries.

The wedding hall (knight's hall) is very nice for a civil wedding! It is perfect for small, family weddings and impresses with its flair. The organization in advance also worked perfectly. The employees were all friendly, but unfortunately they were a bit inflexible when it came to the process and the changes that had to be made at short notice (it started raining at the champagne reception outside) and didn't want to deviate from the "procedure plan".

Very outdated castle with a restaurant in a fantastic setting.Unfortunately, the menu is very small and you can get at least the same food in every restaurant.It's a shame that not much more is made of it here.Our food was carelessly prepared and when it came to the onion roast, I had my doubts about the quality and origin of the meat.

My family went there and really enjoyed it. My daughter was particularly impressed by the gluten-free breakfast. Rich and delicious. Nice rooms and great location. We'll definitely come back.

Anyone who wants to enjoy lukewarm, poorly and listlessly prepared apparently frozen products in a nice atmosphere is in good hands here.The very unfriendly management successfully closes its eyes to demands and reality.
