My children were there with school. The location is great. Everything else is difficult to accept. The children fended for themselves because the food was so bad...so they had additional costs. The rooms are dirty and it stinks.

The Kolping Hostel is located in the old town of Trier. The rooms are cheap and comparable to those in a youth hostel. Breakfast was good, from 7:00am to 10:00am. Some guests were loud.

It's borderline, many things need repairs. The location is good. Price/performance is not appropriate. It's not dirty, but you don't feel comfortable either.

Service, support and receptionists... Everything is fine. But there are 2 in the Night Watch (it's good that there is such a thing).People who are first and foremost absolutely disrespectful and secondly absolutely arrogant. Unfortunately, I just had another absolutely unnecessary argument with one of these people that doesn't seem to end peacefully... People like that have absolutely no place in social jobs!

The hostel is in an excellent location and its price compared to quality is optimal. Simple and a little old, it offers all the needs expected of a hostel, it is clean, everything works perfectly and it has a divine and very spacious dining room

IT was our first and sad experience in Neumagen Drohn.We wanted to drink a glass of wine and politely asked if we could get a glass of wine in our hands. The owner was very unfriendly, we had to wait until a table became available. There are just places that are not interested in sales.

The location is mega. That's the only thing.I am a bus driver and am currently on site with two school classes and their teachers. I do NOT have high standards, but I absolutely cannot recommend it for multi-day trips.The food in the evening is not only subpar, but also incurs additional costs. We tried it for two days and ended up eating out (which incurs an additional cost). Also the young people. The showers and toilets are permanently dirty (already upon arrival) and the rooms are absolutely NOT as described on the homepage. There are a few things to think about here. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the house.

This is such a fantastic place, quiet yet very near the centre and only 15min walk to the main train station! The staff are very kind. You can hire a fan in the summer heat, but my 3rd floor room was cool, with a window overlooking the park. Spotless clean bathrooms and washbasins in the room. My single room was €45 without breakfast, and very comfortable. Amazing value!

The rooms are very small and not particularly clean, the staff are not particularly polite and all in all it is not nicely furnished. I don't expect top furnishings but even the basic furnishings can be made nice and not dirty. The location is good but the hostel is totally run down and the toilets are not clean either. The teachers get clean rooms and not ugly furnishings, but the students get old, dirty rooms.

I was in this house as a bus driver from June 24th to June 28th, 2024 and will never go here again, rooms from the Middle Ages, 2 showers and 2 toilets in the hallway for 12 rooms, ask about a TV room, we don't have an answer. Breakfast was okay, I have to say there are much better accommodations, this one is bottom drawer.

It's OK, dinner gives you a stomach ache but breakfast is good. There are restaurants and fast food chains nearby in case. Rooms are too small. But the LOCATION is wonderful because you can reach everywhere in less time. The rest periods are also far too long.

You can stay overnight here inexpensively. We chose the hostel because of its proximity to the city and the vocational school. Because of block lessons, always for a whole week every month. The staff are super nice and you can always book in advance for an entire school year. The rooms are sporadically furnished, but that's enough. Food is also good and the canteen is very clean. If you're hungry or thirsty, there are vending machines - there's something to suit every taste. It's also great that you're just a few steps away from the pedestrian zone with lots of shops, restaurants and of course, most importantly, the Porta Nigra and Trier Cathedral.

The hostel is nicely furnished, but it is a bit cramped and the rooms are too small for a stay of more than a week. The location is good, but sometimes you have to walk a bit to get to things. But as a hostel it is very good.

The location is great, in the middle of the city and at a reasonable price/performance ratio. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. I was particularly impressed by the reception. It is possible to book breakfast on site. There is enough, something for every taste. Of course, it's a hostel and there are always a few corners, shared toilets and showers. But it is very clean and looks well-kept. Highly recommended for someone who doesn't just want to stay in the hotelI think I will book it again on my next visit to Trier.What I didn't like was the in-house heating system, which also runs intermittently at night. You don't hear them, but some of the vibration alarms are transmitted to the bed. It may be disturbing for someone who is a light sleeper. Personally, I coped relatively well with it.
