It was nice and central for hikers who hike the Moselsteig. Not far from the path and the hosts were very nice. Breakfast was also very good.

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Hotel Grefen. The room was clean and nice, and we were greeted very friendly at reception.When we arrived we were only spoken to in an unfriendly manner by a gentleman (owner?) because our clothes were dirty from hiking in the rain and we were "getting the furniture dirty". In my opinion, a friendlier approach would be expected.

We had dinner in the restaurant yesterday. I had a deer burger. A dream. I can only recommend. My wife had the homemade spaghetti in saffron sauce with grilled scampi. My daughter the boiled beef. Everything was super tasty. We will be back!

Hotel is located on a busy road. We had a very small bathroom, we could barely fit in a shower. Nice staff. Large parking lot behind/next to hotel

A stop on the Moselle Camino from me. The rooms were good, with everything you needed, the food was excellent. Price-performance was good, although a little more expensive than other accommodations on my way, but there was a little more for it. What I liked best was the service and the cuisine.

We spent 4 days in the Hotel 'Grefen' and felt comfortable.Ms. Fuchs, the boss, is very friendly, committed and helpful.It was my husband's birthday at this time and Mrs. Fuchs had lovingly set the breakfast table for the occasion.The food in the restaurant is very tasty; I can definitely recommend stopping by there.The hotel itself is getting old, which you can see here and there. It didn't bother us because it was clean and tidy...the bathrooms were newly renovated, the beds were comfortable. Due to the proximity to Trier, the Moselle loop, the Saar loop, other hiking destinations, as well as Luxembourg, we would come back.A small one However, we have one point of criticism:The breakfast is simple and doesn't offer much variety.Sausage and cheese were the same every day.What also bothered us were pre-portioned slices of cheese or sausage on small. Plates, pre-portioned muesli and flax or chia seeds in small bowls.All of this is always individually covered with cling film.In addition, jam, honey or cream cheese only in small plastic portions.Unfortunately, we did not find this presentation of the breakfast buffet to be environmentally friendly and also unusual. :-(When it comes to hygiene, there are alternatives to offering cereal, jam, cold cuts and the like.You don't have to cover it with foil and then do it again every day.The small plastic packaging for jam, honey or cream cheese is also not sustainable.Other hotels have good ideas here.... ;-)It would be desirable if the Fuchs family thought about this and could change something for our environmental protection.

Great location on the Moselsteig. The rooms were clean, cleaning took place every other day, but because of how thorough it was, it wasn't a problem at all. The staff always wore masks. No deduction because the bed was a bit soft.
