Frendem was able to open the door with ease because the bolt of the lock simply came through the bracket. I don't feel safe there. The food was disgusting (you could hear the cooks in the kitchen calling the food inedible and disgusting)That gave me severe stomach pain. I recommend this building to the junkyard or the homeless shelter.

Very good youth hostel located directly on the Moselle.Easily accessible by public transport (bus stop approx. 5 minutes walk).The dining room is great, thanks to the view of the Moselle. The food is good, the staff are attentive and friendly.Was there both as a private individual and with a school class and can only recommend it.

Nice youth hostel with lots of space to sit together and play. Large games cupboard with lots of selection, free WiFi and hot tea water at all times of the day. Unfortunately only 2 sockets in rooms of 4. But there is your own, but relatively narrow, shower in the room.

DJH is located in a remote location on the banks of the Moselle, very inconvenient for public transport users.Mass catering, little choice.But friendly, helpful staff, new towels are available upon request.

Staff was unfriendly, rooms were okay. Rooms were assigned incorrectly several times. Food is rather mediocre. This was supposed to be a Latin school trip, not constant complaining. This isn't as fun as it should be. Classmates were yelled at because of the incompetence of the employees. That's all, but not a 5 star chef nor a youth hostel for 4 stars. But the area is very beautiful and definitely for people who like to do outdoor activities or enjoy nature.

Gated community..... or also: fence exhibition at its best. Unfortunately, gates were obviously sold out during construction and so the site can only be exited in one direction. Rather difficult as a pedestrian... Probably all practical for the target group of school trips and families with smaller children. The gravel rock gardens... well... pretty is different. Conference rooms, rooms in the new building, etc. are good...but unfortunately the surrounding area doesn't invite you to come back.

In the youth hostel, so gray and small,You arrive tired and hungry.The rooms, they smell of old dust,The walls are damp, the light is dim and deaf.The beds, they creak with every turn,Mattresses as hard as the ground in the snow.The pillows, they're thin like a sheet of paper,Sleep escapes, I stay awake here.And then the meal - a sad meal,Cold mashed potatoes, tough as steel.The noodles are overcooked, the sauce is a lake,There's only leftover bread, it hurts.But despite all the sorrow, so bad and empty,There's a lot of laughter and dreams and friends here.Because the youth, they also live in the greatest frustration,The hostel, it remains - a forgotten greeting.

Expensive parking scam!|4,50.-€ parking for staying not even 1 hour!|In my opignon ‘Guest Parking is free parking for guest’ |100 m further there is free parking , so this is a real rip off! Meals are ok and cost 10.- but then having to pay almost half of that for parking is unacceptable! Never again!

The rooms are extremely dirty. The shower is moldy. There are spider webs everywhere on the walls. The youth hostel can't even cook pasta properly. Just looking at the food makes you lose your appetite. In a room for five people there are only two sockets. The staff is extremely unfriendly. It really wasn't worth the money. If it were possible, I wouldn't give a star.

HelloI definitely cannot recommend this youth hostel. I'm here on a school trip and on the first day, I noticed in the first moment that this youth hostel wasn't worth the money. €300 for a really poor service. The rooms in the old building are far too small and dirty and the bed covers have holes. The walls are so thin that you can hear all the noises from the neighboring rooms that you don't want to hear. The bathrooms are so small that you feel claustrophobic and suffocate from your own smell while doing your business. They also save a lot of unnecessary details such as tongs for rolls, as the staff touch them with their bare hands. The yogurt and food also look very much like vomit. Even when informed about claustrophobia, the staff does nothing for the person's comfort, they simply say hdf. This youth hostel is definitely not recommended because we were put in the basement of the old building. That's under the sun and you simply pay €300 for something like that.

We found glass shards in the corner of room 202, needs to be checked out by staff. Beautiful experience other than that.
