Unfortunately I have to agree with all the bad reviews.Luckily we were only there for one night, we were greeted unfriendly and the gentleman at the reception was extremely unkempt and obviously didn't want to have guests.No “hello”, no “have a nice stay”, etc.In general the reception area was untidy and dingy.The street the hotel is on also seems pretty dodgy.From the 1st floor onwards there is no light at night.To my surprise, the room was relatively clean, but the windows can only be opened completely or not at all, and the spring mattresses are so sagging that you can feel every single spring when you lie down.The bathroom was really very small. You also looked in vain for free WiFi.If you leave the “hotel” before check-out to get breakfast at the bakery - because there isn't even coffee/tea in the morning - then you won't be able to get back in.If I had traveled alone, I wouldn't have come in to get my things, even though I still had more than two hours until check-out. Of course the “reception” wasn’t there and I suspect that the gentleman wouldn’t have been able to get on the phone either.You shouldn't call it a hotel.Normally I'm not so strict when you book hotels because you're only there to sleep anyway, but this was all very strange. You felt uncomfortable from the start and it shouldn't be like that.The only positive thing is that the hotel is in a good location and you can quickly reach all places by bus.

Yep... I can recommend it... I was there last week... no 5 stars because the lack of coffee in the morning was already missing at a concert... not even a vending machine...

Booked a family room. Room very dirty with black hairs on the floor and in the bathroom. Curtains could not be closed completely because half of them had come loose. The next morning there was already a lot of light in the room. Reception was also not too friendly. It is convenient that there is a parking space behind the hotel. The passage is very narrow and actually too tight to drive through, everything just fits! Not worth repeating, but what can you expect for that price 😬

Good accommodation for a reasonable price.The rooms were clean. But you shouldn't expect too much. In one room the curtains had holes in them.However, it didn't matter to us as long as we stayed overnight.Getting to the hotel at night wasn't a problem either.Check in and out were quick and easy.I think I would book there again if necessary. And as already mentioned, if you need a cheap alternative to expensive hotels and don't have high expectations, you're in good hands here.

Room was smelling bad, people were yelling each other from a room to parking area. It was very noisy and bathroom wasn't clean. You feel unsafe at the room. Even the manager/owner offered us a different room, we didn't want to stay there.I suggest you to "see the room before you pay". Otherwise, try an another option. Oberhausen is a good looking area and easy to reach many places by public transport and hotel is located in a good area. Bad hotel for good place..

I travel a lot and have stayed in much smaller places. But I have never experienced the fact that the reception is no longer manned by telephone at 10:02 p.m. and you have to reserve in advance for an arrival after 10:00 p.m. up to 12:00 a.m. at an additional cost of 15 euros. Thanks for a 93 Eur room with breakfast that I couldn't use and thanks to the kind soul who let me sleep in her room in another hotel...

It was a great hotel. We stayed here for one night and looked at the reviews in advance. Many of the reviews were wrong. What still needs to be done is the cleaning, there were cigarettes and a strange sock under the beds. There was also half an ice tea bottle on the table. Despite the cleaning (except for the floor except for the ice tea), it is really worth your money. The service is good and the stairwell and elevator were very clean and tidy. The parking lot is also nice behind the hotel despite all the small streets.

I've never experienced anything so disgusting. The toilet wasn't cleaned, the floor wasn't vacuumed and was totally dirty. The rooms don't look particularly inviting.We didn't expect much based on the rating, but it was worse than expected.The entrance to the parking lot is extremely narrow and easy to miss. Still at least there. We came back when it was already dark. From the first floor onwards there is no longer any lighting in the stairwell.The bed was not properly made and probably not even freshly made. The bedding smelled terribly of cigarettes and musty.I was glad that we only booked one night. Unfortunately, we were no longer able to ask for fresh bedding because the reception was no longer staffed.The location is not as nice as described.We were insulted by residents a few meters in front of the hotel as we walked down the street.

Had a very bad experience.Found 3 bed bugs in my bed.When I reported this in the morning, a rude, fat woman told me that she couldn't do anything for me because she only works in the kitchen. The boss wasn't there and he couldn't call either. Eventually the cleaning lady was sent upstairs, who looked left once and right once and said there was nothing.Then I am told that the boss will not be there until 12 noon, and unfortunately I was gone before that. Still made an attempt to call the boss who told me that there is nothing wrong and there are no insects / bed bugs.To which I respond that these are indeed there, but if nothing is done with them I would share the photos since there is nothing there anyway. The receiver was hung up and after several calls back the call was not answered.In short: dirty rooms with bed bugs.Bad staff who don't care about anything.And oh yes, while we wanted to have breakfast, the kitchen lady aggressively came to us to ask whether we have a room and whether we have paid. PS can be a lot more polite to your guests next time.Sorry for the photos, but they really walk over you while you sleep.

There were lovely employees and it was cheap.The room was clean.And we had a balcony.The bathroom light did not work properly and kept turning off by itself. The shower tap was never at one temperature, it was either too cold or too hot. Not to be done. The room was small for 4 people, but manageable.We went when there was hot weather and there was no fan or air conditioning. We had difficulty sleeping at night because it was too hot.

I have actually slept in many “hotels” around the world. But this is way up there in the top ten in the ranking of the worst hotels ever.- A single and a double room were booked. The size of the double room was okay, the single is a storage room. No joke. It's a storage room. The door ends at the bed. You'll look in vain for a chair, cupboard or table. There is space for your suitcase in the bathroom. Because the tiny bathroom is bigger than the room.It's dangerous to live in a double room because the socket would drive any electrician to despair. The toilet stands on wooden blocks.No night's sleep (at least in summer). Because the neighborhood celebrates loudly through the night until 5 a.m.Breakfast. Apparently bookable. At the reception, the gentleman in the dirty sweatpants and crop top tells you in broken German that there are several bakeries somewhere in the city center.All in all you can't call this a hotel. Any Mitel or hostel operator is guaranteed to be a better place to go than this.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS!- Arrival made difficult by narrow parking access and few available parking spaces- Stink on the ground floor, especially at the reception- annoyed and unfriendly reception- 1st floor, lack of lighting- Rooms (3 beds) have a dirty, sticky floor, including in the bathroom- Duvets had to be made by yourself, covers were the cheapest of the cheap- in the morning, to top it all off, I saw BED BUGS running over two pillowsI don't know where the 3 stars come from... The store doesn't even deserve one star. The only good thing is the location...But still:ABSOLUTELY NOT ADVISED!!!
