This is a unique experience among hotel-like accommodations, situated in the center of Weimar at a short walking distance from most interesting tourist sights. I arrived for check-in at the end of the luncheon service in the Vietnamese restaurant across the street from the guesthouse, explaining some glitches in the check-in efficiency. Once available, the staff kindly showed me to my room and instructed me on the rather complex access procedures I was required to follow. My room was large in size and featured a private roof-top terrace over the inner court. There is no air condition as far as I could understand. The bed and hygiene facilities are excellent and you have the possibility to make tea or coffee in your room free of charge. Breakfast is not included in the room price and can be composed from an extensive number of options in the restaurant. Count on at least 25 EUR/person for a decent breakfast to add to your room price. This is still excellent value for money compared to a classical four star hotel room in the center of such an interesting city. Also, the guesthouse has a couple of paying parking places about 7-10 min walking distance from the hotel through the center of Weimar that you should reserve when booking your room. This guest house is strongly recommended.

I have very rarely had such a great and service-oriented experience! Unfortunately we only spent one night there because we were looking at Weimar.It started with the hotel contacting us on the day we checked in and letting us know that we could check in earlier. Then the reception was very friendly. We booked a room with a terrace on the website. Unfortunately that was stated incorrectly and the room did not have a terrace. But we were immediately offered 3 other rooms with a terrace. So we got a very great room, with very nice furnishings and a terrace. The beds are very comfortable and large. You can also book a baby bed.The location is very central and nice and the hotel also has its own parking lot (about a 7-minute walk).But what was the cherry on the cake was the service, after we forgot a backpack on a table in the restaurant when checking out. We contacted the hotel and the backpack was actually found and sent back to us immediately by post.Thank you very much again for that! If we end up in wonderful Weimar again, we will definitely stay with you again! Above all, a big thank you to Mr. Halilaj!

Perfect location to explore the old town. Staff very nice and friendly.The rooms are very harmoniously furnished. At night it was a bit noisy from the street at times, but the hotel can't do much about that.Since we didn't reserve a parking space, we were no longer able to rent one from the hotel. However, there is free parking a few minutes' walk away and it was easy to park near the hotel to unload, so that didn't turn out to be a problem.

A nice room at a very fair price in a good location. The hotel is very centrally located, which unfortunately can mean that light sleepers may feel a bit disturbed by the city noise. The staff were consistently friendly, the room has charm and the fortune cookies are an amusing add-on. If I came to Weimar again, I would probably come back.

Seemn. Looks better in the pictures than on site. Combines too many different styles which seems restless and simply slapped together. It only has a rain shower, which I'm not a fan of, unfortunately no extra shower head. At that price I had a much better room in Ilmenau for half the price! Unfortunately, parking space has to be booked additionally (~€26 for 2 days), which I can't stand at all if you're taken by surprise when you get there. This is also a good 7-10 minute walk away and inconspicuous, which led to people getting lost at first.

I stayed in the upper apartment, which is not in the building of the hotel. It is across the street and completely different. Much less elegant, and much less comfortable. Also very isolated.First, when I made the reservation by telephone, the manager did not tell me that the apartment is on the fourth floor with no elevator/lift/Abzug. In the US we would call it the fifth floor so it’s four flights of steep spiral stairs to the apartment and from the apartment. Second, the parking is about a seven minute brisk walk from the hotel, and in a very muddy lot that did not look very protected for security. These were both surprises to me and I was not informed of these when I made the reservation via phone. So quite a surprise. Parking is $15 per day.Almost got a ticket dropping off the bags, nowhere to pull up at the hotel unless you're lucky. Someone alerted me to the ticket being written, as I was unloading.No secure drop off of luggage, manager wanted me to leave my bag in the restaurant next to the front door, unsecured, while I parked the car, which took about half an hour. It had in it in my laptop and passport, etc. So I said no. It really shocked me.In the end, I extended the apartment one day, but it was a nightmare to negotiate with the manager. He’s very very slow and kept doing calculations telling me how great a deal I was getting. I just wanted to know the price and terms. Every single interaction was very slow with him.The apartment is spacious. It has a nice step in the middle that is easy to trip over. I caught myself a half dozen times. The edge should be painted or otherwise marked. Someone will get really injured.Food smell wafting up the staircase, and into the apartment throughout my stay. Road noise and revelers were audible but not too bad.When we did the walk-through at the beginning, I was not told there’s a washer/dryer, which was very helpful to me. I found it on my own. There was no laundry detergent. The manager told me to use rinse agent for soap. When I looked it up, and translated it, I complained to him that he misled me, and that was not soap. He said it would’ve given the laundry a nice smell. He then gave me some detergent. Kind of strange.Because the apartment is not in the main building, I was very isolated. And it was a hike every time to go up or down from the apartment. The stairway is not by any means elegant. It was a bit dirty in front down at the entrance. Complete contrast to the hotel. The external was also left unlocked throughout the day. I never saw another person there in day long. It’s used by the restaurant..

By far the most magical hotel I've ever been to. Great central location in a small alley right on the market square. Opposite the hotel there is an associated restaurant and a café as well as a bubble tea shop with a small Asian supermarket.The rooms are beautifully furnished with great attention to detail. All of the hotel's rooms are designed in an Asian style, but vary in size and furnishings and all have a different look. Our room had a very large terrace facing the backyard (quiet) and a very nice bathroom. There was also a tea/coffee bar. Everything was perfectly coordinated, you immediately felt comfortable and “at home”. Unfortunately, like everyone else's, our room was a bit noisy, but thank God the neighbors were awake as long as we were :) Housekeeping was top, many thanks to the wonderful Irina, who took the time on our departure day, to show us and explain other rooms in the hotel. Check-in took place by handing over the keys in the café as we arrived very late; All instructions came via SMS, no questions remained unanswered. If necessary, you can book a parking space, approx. 7-10 minutes from the hotel.We can definitely recommend the restaurant and café run by the same operator directly opposite. Incredibly good breakfast/food, very great service, thank you very much - we will definitely come back.
