As soon as we arrived we were greeted very warmly, the staff were great and very familiar. If you want to spend a relaxing holiday, you've come to the right place, you can reach everything in no time and it's still quiet and very family-friendly. The very young bosses put a lot of effort into their guests, and in the in-house restaurant you can get great food and very good portions. We were very satisfied and the breakfast was great, all in all a lovely holiday. PS it is an older hotel but well maintained 👍😊

We had dinner there this evening. We had ordered a table for 5 adults/1 small child for 6 p.m. The drinks order was taken quickly and brought to the table, well only the wheat beer took a while. Then the food, a nogo. Two of us ordered plaice with boiled potatoes. What came after a long wait was already a faux pas, 2x plaice fillet with fried potatoes came, we told the waitress that we didn't want fried potatoes, but boiled potatoes...she brought the food back to the kitchen and it came then took both plates back with the statement that potatoes would take a while. We gave the plates back, we wanted plaice and not fillet. The waiter took both plates back to the kitchen, a short time later we were told there was no plaice, so it was fillet. We said we didn't want to, so we ordered something else. I thought the waitress would take a new order.....nothing at all....At some point I asked what was going on with our order and the answer was why they didn't want the food...I thought it was an impertinence !!! Our companion had already served their food and our little one became impatient at some point because he was also tired... By then it was already 7:30 p.m. and by the time we were finished it was 8 p.m. Then asked for the bill, actually thought there would be an apology that a lot had gone wrong, but no, nothing like that.I've already made my displeasure known.Mistakes can happen, no question about it, we are all only human BUT then you apologize. The first and last time for us. We definitely won't recommend it to others.

I stayed in this accommodation for one night because I had to get on the ferry to Borkum the next morning. The hotel is set back on a thoroughfare. Behind it there are many green meadows. When you go into the hotel, you are immediately overwhelmed by the darkness and the old building at the entrance. The light in the house is dim and comes on late in the hallway with a motion detector. My room was called "Almuth". I'm still in shock about this unkempt, old room. The dust was piled up in thick layers on the socket at the dessert table, which wobbled suspiciously when I plugged in my charging cable. Dust on the baseboards, glass edges on the bedside tables, mold on the skylights that can only be opened with a long bar construction, and cobwebs everywhere with residents in every corner of the room. The old wallpaper is already coming off the wall. There were four beds in the room. There was dust and hair on a pillow. I preferred not to look at the other beds at all. I asked for another room. Unfortunately all the rooms would probably be fully booked, but they sent the cleaning lady to my room again. After dinner I went to the room. Some of the dust was gone, but otherwise all the spiders were still in their places. I slept really badly that night. I had to pay the price in full. I'll complain to the boss, who probably wasn't there. The dirt in the room wasn't just from a few days. A room to scare!! Offering something like this to guests is a no go!! I will definitely not recommend this accommodation.

We stayed in this hotel from September 20th to 22nd, 2024. First the good: breakfast is plentiful for everyone. It's always refilled diligently and it's ok. Now the negative: The rooms are all full of spin webs and proper cleaning is sometimes necessary. The shower also needs a thorough cleaning. There is mold everywhere. The beds are totally worn out. I had called beforehand that I was 70 degrees disabled and had to have a room downstairs. I got a room on the first floor without an elevator. We signed up for dinner one evening and wanted to eat. I had previously seen in the online menu that the prices were actually cheap. When I saw the menu I had to realize that the online prices and the actual prices were 100% higher. It's not nice when a hotel doesn't have the current prices online. Furthermore, the condition was not recognizable as a condition at first glance (not dressed accordingly). In the evening there were two older women sitting outside who would like to eat, the boss came out and said that she had a larger reservation and that's why she couldn't serve them, but in such a rude tone that I thought something was wrong here. This larger registration then consisted of 10 people. If she's already overwhelmed, I thought I'd even have to ask. If I come with a tour group of 40 people, it won't work. Nobody needs a hotel like that. Nobody needs a negative boss. I was there once but also the last time. The hotel should sell them instead. It could be brought into shape with sensible management. She then also said to the older women that you can leave a negative review in Emden, I'm not interested. Something like that is not acceptable. That would be exactly like me saying to my guests you can walk then you'll be faster.

Friendly guesthouse on an old farm.Restaurant with very tasty, down-to-earth dishes. My favorite: sliced pork fillet with pepper cream sauce. The rooms are OK and the price is reasonable. For us, a 3-bedroom room with breakfast and dinner together is always around 170-180 euros...

The atmosphere and location of the hotel is unique, which is why it is 5 stars. The only flaw is the bed, it is buttery soft, otherwise the room and the bathroom are great.
