Never in my life have I been disrespected like this and without reason… KEY THE EMPLOYEE who was at the hotel reception was the most disrespectful and rude thing I have ever encountered in my life! Since we have been trying to reach an agreement with the hotel for two days, due to the catastrophe that has occurred in our city Valencia, which has accumulated more than 150 deaths due to the rains, which have caused the closure of airports, stations, etc... the hotel's policy did not allow changes or cancellations but since it was due to a natural disaster we contacted them to see if we could change and cancel the dates….After talking to them on occasion since we were very nervous because there was no way to get to Amsterdam… attached capture! Well, they tell us that they can't do anything because the rules are like that... but that if we wanted to enjoy the reservation, our room would be at our disposal until the end of the reservation! After the airline managed to get us on the first plane that left... after many hours at the airport and endless traffic jams we were able to arrive!! Very tired, nervous and very sad and collapsed because of how our city is and acquaintances from both booking and TRANSAVIA help us get there! since we had a very urgent job there!!! And when we arrived this man! He treated us as if we were... I have no words… telling us that we should have called to confirm… that we didn't have a room! When at 16:3 (photo) you can read what it says! He tells us that he is very sorry that he cannot change the dates but our room is for us... We were on the street having paid the entire reservation without a room because they had resold it again... and on top of that this uneducated man did not even deign to listen to me, looking at me fixedly without even answering me, making faces as if I were crazy saying that I had called…. And that same afternoon he had told me about the reservation, I showed him that please, he didn't understand anything... and nothing, saying that he had called and as if I was crazy... I spoke to him and looking at me in the eyes as if I were trash, he didn't say anything to me... in fact my life I have felt so bad... that after everything we had been through... until 8 pm yesterday... on top of that I didn't have a little compassion and be able to reach an agreement or even help us solve the problem and today We would fix the confusion… thank you that booking was aware of the conversation and had also requested the cancellation since it is a major cause! He gives us our money back and helps us get a hotel at 11:00 p.m. and the attached photo only knows how to tell booking that they're sorry they can't accommodate us… I don't usually make this type of reviews but… if I can save this bad drink to anyone is worth it...

Booked for a special weekend for a few of us, as per deluxe rooms advertised and paid a rate that represented this. We were all very dissapointed when we checked in and the rooms we were provided with. Limited room to move around, fit into the toilet facing the wall, crouching down sideways to try brush the teeth and also fit sideways to the shower facing the side of a roof with the window in your face together with shower water flooding the floor standing in a swimming pool!! Quite dirty in the bathroom area. We were happy with the location as it was great and central but for all of us this was just beyond unacceptable. Spoke to the reception staff and they stated hotel was full and nothing they could do. I even displayed the photos from our booking confirmation and what we have been put into but there was no interest. The photos say it all, of what we booked for the type of deluxe rooms and what we were sent into at the top 5th floor into this corner old rooms. Don't do reviews often but we are in the process of putting in a complaint to hotel & booking.com. We have no problem booking and staying in what is advertised and presented with on our booking confirmation, but we booked deluxe for a reason and got given 1 star type room. Additionally, The coffee shop downstairs that you see in the pictures isn’t operational . Its being used as storage with pallets, boxes, and supplies stacked everywhere.

Convenient location and surprisingly quiet for the location. Small rooms, clean and comfortable. Lots of steps and eccentric floor plan, which may not suit some people. Friendly and helpful staff

So it is a tourist trap. The rooms you are shown on the website are rooms, but they are deluxe rooms. Be careful, because when you book you may find yourself with a "comfort" room which is not what you wanted and not advertised on the website. This "comfort" option is auto-selected and nothing draws your attention to it. It's a bit of a con. Those comfort rooms are some of the worst I have ever stayed in, and it's an extortionate rip-off. As a result, we called our trip early- the standard option is also non-refundable (though you can change that). I would add that on the way out, we saw into another "comfort" room, which looked even worse than the one we stayed in. There are better options out there basically.

Haven’t checked out but already compelled to submit a review because it’s perfect for our quick Amdam trip! Our very early arrival was greeted warmly by amazing staff who allowed us to check-in early coz our room’s ready! The room’s clean & warm with good amenities. Hot water was hot, aircon was cold, the bed’s were sooo comfy & the 2 pillows/bed were very fluffy. Decor’s great & lifts were modern. There’s seating throughout the building for a casual hang-out. Security & safety 24/7 & surprisingly very quiet despite the hubbub in the street.Highly recommended.

No heating in room, stained bed sheets, rooms are smaller than advertised (and quite different)… overall just a roof over your head for one night. Hostels are way better.
