We were told “excellent” on Hotels.com ratings, but for what? ( the property is listed as CS as central station, but the outside banner says Hotel Jimmy??)There’s no upfront information that the bathroom and the shower ( pendejos and human hair on the floor) are shared with six other rooms on the same flat. The bed was clean, but couldn’t find the advertised TV service remote control…and lastly there’s no central or AC in the room, so we had to sleep with a window open and hear all the night commotion downstairs street.Joey at the second floor “lobby” was very nice and knowledgeable ( for his 4th night at the job)We booked 2 night and run the following day, no refunds so far

The hotel is a disaster, it is very dirty and very unhygienic. On the day I was there there was water damage and we had to leave the hotel. There was no replacement room and we didn't get our money back, even though they told us we would get it. I don't recommend the hotel.

The photos I include make up a large portion of my review. Dirty linen left in the hallway for days, old cosmetic sachets left in the shower, bedroom “artwork” with a massive crack in it, a wobbly bed fixed with a hand towel and a light hanging off the wall. Terrifying.

Stairs way narrow and consider dangerous when you carry big luggage. To me is not so suitable for senior citizen like me. Front room is quite noisy, back room are better if you can get.

This is a modest one star hotel, with a shared shower and toilet. So for those expecting great luxuries and comforts, this is not your place. However, if you are looking for a hotel to spend the night and leave your luggage, it is a highly recommended place when staying in Amsterdam, as it has everything you need to enjoy a good visit without worries.The proximity to Amsterdam Centraal station is its strong point: it is a three-minute walk away. In addition, it is among the cheapest options in terms of accommodation there. And, at least during our stay, we had no noise problems from other guests.Breakfast in the morning is a nice touch. It's simple, but we found it very nice.But above all I pleasantly highlight the friendliness and help offered by the hotel staff. The people behind the reception were very kind to us and we are very grateful to them for making our stay in Amsterdam better. If we ever return to this city, we will probably stay here again.

Stayed here as a last minute option as we missed our flights ended up staying 2 nights basic and cheap. Do not ask for top floor or else you are in for a workout!

Avoid this hotel. The heating kept rattling loudly throughout the night, the staff couldn't help, and the bed linen was dirty with brown stains. There were brown stains on the wall too. The room was far too small, and the bed was far too small for two people. The bed linen is not firmly on the mattress, so you have to lie on the dirty mattress at night. The noise from the street and the other rooms is very loud. There is no soap in the toilet, which is used by the entire floor.

One of the cheapest hotels in a prime location (almost next to the central station). Friendly and extremely helpful staff. English is the main language.The room... small, outdated and furnished with worn-out furniture (which was to be expected for the price we paid), but clean and surprisingly quiet. We only heard the tram, but that was not disturbing at all. The bathroom was also ok.A very simple breakfast was included and it was enough for us to start the day well.Long story short: 1 star in terms of luxury, but a great place to sleep and a nice base
