Reviews are always subjective...and since I learned hotel management myself, I may view the topic a little more critically than other guests.On the day of arrival we were kindly able to get to our room well before 3 p.m. because it had already been cleaned.Overall, the room and the hotel were clean, the room size matched the description. The location, 5 minutes from the train station and the pedestrian zone, is great.But for the price of around €150 per night I expect more and in my opinion this is not even remotely reasonable. Overall, the interior looks outdated and is in desperate need of renovation. I still remember hotels on ski holidays from my childhood days in the 90s.The breakfast buffet seems rather half-hearted and just as “out of date”. For example, the bread was simply placed in the package, other products (e.g. cream cheese) were the same... it doesn't cost much to prepare it more lovingly. Otherwise, the buffet seemed rather thrown together (different tables, old refrigerated counter and careless presentation). Only the changing cake every day was a small highlight.Tables were only cleared after an eternity, even though the service walked past them three times empty-handed and the breakfast room wasn't fully occupied - so stress can't be an excuse. As a guest, however, this does not create a cozy breakfast atmosphere for a relaxed start to the day.Since we were only wished for a safe journey home when we left, but were not asked about our stay, there was no direct feedback on site.Definitely not recommended and next time I would prefer another hotel for 100/200€ more.

The glory days of this old house are probably long gone.Our room was nice with a balcony and renovated bathroom.Unfortunately, the entire hotel is still covered with the carpet from the better times, which gives the whole house a special scent.Children are not welcome in this hotel.Presumably for their own protection.The street in front of the house serves as a catwalk for the local car scene.Together with the train station on the same street, the background noise is relatively high.Everything is taken care of at breakfast on the ground floor and there are fresh cakes every day.I cannot confirm reports of poor service or unfriendly staff.The swimming pool and sauna are small but nice.It is possible to exercise in a fitness studio across the street.The hotel is located in the middle of the city.You can do everything on foot.All in all, I have to say that I personally question the price-performance ratio.

Unfortunately, me and my friends only gave the room one star. The single rooms are a disaster - the sink is in the room, the bathroom is very small with an old calcified shower and toilet. It was also very cold - the heating was only lukewarm at level 5, and there was no heating option in the bathroom. Something urgently needs to happen here. Not acceptable for this price. The friendly staff at reception and in the breakfast room should be highlighted positively.

An aging hotel with a certain charm of tradition.Very nice staff who respond immediately to requests, pool and sauna small but nice, very central and close to restaurants and shops.Parking space in the yard.A lot was offered for breakfast and we were satisfied.Thanks for the nice weekend.

I made the mistake of booking the hotel from booking .com where it was not clearly stated that they do not allow families esp they have some issues with children.All standard hotels allow families but they dont so be very careful that they are not a Standard Hotel but a one with restrictions.I had to cancel the booking because I was informed of this too late and when I called the guy on the phone, he was so rude as I had committed a crime to book their hotel.Just based on the booking and reservation experience I give this rating, I have not stayed there as i had no choice but to cancel there so will not rate the rooms etc . Atleast the person on the phone should have the sense to talk politely .now I´m so glad I didnt stay there.

Fantastic location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a short walk into Garmisch each evening for dinner and/or drinks and as we drove it was centrally located to sites we wanted to see. The swimming pool was also welcomed with temperatures in the 30 Celsius range during our stay. Would definitely return.
