We were on our first day of vacation with our motorbike when suddenly a heavy thunderstorm started. When it started to hail in addition to the rain, we decided to pull over to the right. And there it was, the rescue, the Hotel zum Schweizer Bartl.Even though we hadn't booked anything there and were soaking wet, the owner welcomed us in a friendly manner and offered us a room. There was also a place where we could dry our wet clothes.The room was tidy, clean, good facilities, and as already described above, great service and rescue in an emergency 👍🏻

From August 2nd, 2024 to August 4th, 2024 we were unlucky enough to have booked this accommodation. You can find out how you can go from 4 stars to zero stars in this hotel.After arriving we started looking for the staff, we then found the landlord in the kitchen, slightly drunk. When we asked about the times for the breakfast that we had booked, we got the answer that there is no breakfast, just like there is no food or drink. Only sleeping . A look into the dark dining room showed us two parked motorcycles.The room was very, very small at first glance, clean until we wanted to throw something into the trash can which was full to the brim. Other guests also tried to reach the landlord several times, even when the doorbell rang was ignored despite being there. One more tip. STAY AWAY

Such a cute place to stay while visiting Garmish. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is very quiet and the staff welcoming. Convenient parking and easy to find. I recommend Zum Schweizerbart.

We've never experienced anything like this! Booked on booking com. We actually did the Alpine Roads round in 2023. If anything, this hotel only deserves one star. It's good that we actually found another great place to stay on the same day and evening. Swiss Bartl never ever recommended!!!!! Unless you're into NOTHING! Zero stars

Absolutely recommended!!!We called there spontaneously to ask if there was still a room available. We were a bit unsure because of the last two reviews (which we can NOT confirm or relate to in any way)When we got there, we were positively surprised. We saw a beautiful, rustic and well-kept hotel. We were welcomed by a relaxed, funny and very nice innkeeper and we immediately felt at home.Room:very clean, new bathroom, Bavarian modern furnishings, good bedsService:It is only a breakfast hotel but you can also get a drink in the evening upon request.Breakfast buffet was all available, sufficient and good.Location:All excursion destinations are very easy to reach.We'd love to come back!

This morning we spoke to the landlord on the phone. In the evening we unfortunately discovered that the hotel was in a miserable condition. The owner couldn't be found and we couldn't check in despite booking and payment already made.Beer bottles were distributed in the dining room and the breakfast buffet was still open in the evening. If you want to save yourself the hassle and frustration, you should look for somewhere else to stay.

Danger! Unfortunately, we discovered today that the good reviews are a thing of the past.We couldn't check in because the owner couldn't be found. Other guests reported that they had to take the room keys themselves, the rooms were dirty and the host was seen in an intoxicated state.We left the location straight away and, after consulting with the police, booked another hotel, which was unfortunately much more expensive.

Super! 1A with an asterisk! A warm welcome even though the restaurant was closed. There was wonderful warm apple strudel, served quickly and charmingly. A huge thank you for this hospitality, we will be back.

I have often spent the night here in the past on my way to Winter Sports and also stayed for a week in the spring. The owner then played his musical instrument on Fridays. Very good cuisine and very friendly host/hostess for his guests.

An inn with a BIG heart! Yesterday we were on the way home from vacation and stopped at the inn hungry. Even though the kitchen had already been closed for 40 minutes, we still got a fantastically good meal (roast roast in beer sauce with bread dumplings and coleslaw... so delicious) 😋). Thank you again for that 😘. We can highly recommend a break in this inn to everyone, incredibly friendly and helpful service, very good food and the ❤️ in the right place. Stay like this👍🏼! We will come back😊.
