We come here every year and have a great time. The Dirksen family is very nice and tries to always have everything spotlessly.

The Wehldorf is a complex of 11 houses built around a small pond -Wehl-. Some of the houses are divided into apartments, but some can also be rented as a complete house.Rental takes place via the Deichhof, approx. 350m away, or online via the homepage. All apartments and houses are fully equipped and comfortably furnished. Firewood and lighters for the fireplace can also be purchased from the Deichhof. It's about a 400m walk to the dike. There are parking spaces directly in front of the Wehldorf, as cars are only allowed to be loaded and unloaded in the complex itself. The houses are numbered 1-11 counterclockwise.Overall, a very nice, quiet and recommendable complex, with a very nice and helpful landlord, as well as a great North Sea starting point for excursions into the region.UPDATE: Zero star parking. Unfortunately, there are only a few parking spaces with solid gravel surfaces. The rest of the paying Wehldorf customers have to make do with an unreasonable parking option. A single muddy lake landscape where you mess up your shoes, clothes and then the inside of your car. The situation has been this way for years and there doesn't seem to be any urge to change it. Impossible. Also, not much is being done to preserve the houses. Take the dishwasher, for example, bowls had to be placed underneath it a year ago because it was “raining” from the machine, no change. TV has loose contact, you can only watch it using your own TV stick. Landlord comment that he is not a technician. The entire interior is worn out, and you've had to bring your own cushions for the sofa for years. Without this, however, you can't survive on these 15-year-old things. Beds worn out. Back pain guaranteed. My list could go on and on.
