Was there today with my family. The food was super tasty, the schnitzel with spaetzle was amazing. The sauce to melt away, it couldn't be better. If these were available to buy in jars, I would stock up on them. The waitresses were all super friendly and always accommodating. The restaurant is quaint and beautiful, you just have to sit there longer. You just feel at home. Regarding the location, simply a great view and a wonderful place to walk. If you wait until sunset and walk towards Knoden and look down to the left and look towards Bensheim and the Rhine, you could stay for hours.I can highly recommend this inn. I also have to say that anyone who hasn't been there has missed something.

We stayed there Friday-Sunday, the room was a bit older but everything was in very good condition. The service was also top and I can only recommend the food. My girlfriend and I had tried different dishes over the days and can't complain, the portions were always very good and the taste was also very good. I couldn't complain about the prices either, a really good portion of cooked cheese schnitzel with fries/Spätzel cost around €15-16 (salad was an additional €4, but the salad was very well prepared and therefore worth the money). And the other dishes were also more than acceptable in terms of price.

How can you be satisfied with your food?Schnitzel with fries and salad for over 20 euros and these schnitzels come standard from the bag. Salad dressing from the jarCream sauce sparingly and endlessly. Promised sourdough bread not baked through.A shame for the Odenwald region.I really don't know where that positive comes from.

Had a great hiking weekend, great views and zero noise! No telemarketers were able to reach me and there is also a restaurant and bar.It's nice to be able to relax for a weekend and there are a lot of hiking trails around here!

The service was very accommodating. The cake is great and we have rarely had such a perfectly baked schnitzel out of the pan. The accommodation was appropriate for the price and we were able to continue hiking strengthened and in a good mood.

The food was very good home cooking. The salad is fresh, crunchy and with seasonal vegetables. The schnitzel fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The braised onions couldn't have been better. Clear recommendation to stop here after hiking.

A very nice Odenwälder restaurant. Everything is very clean and well-kept and the staff is nice and the waiting times for the food to be served are short. Anyone who loves Odenwälder cuisine (cooked cheese, schnitzel, salads, etc.) is in the right place here and after your meal you can buy freshly made cake next door. In order to be sure to get a table, you should reserve in advance. All in all, simply recommended!
