We stayed in the guesthouse for 3 nights from September 21st to 24th and had the beautiful, rustic Backhus, which is located on a neighboring property. This small house has everything you need, is wonderfully quiet and it is about 6 kilometers to the beautiful blooming heath in Undeloh. We will be back.

At the end of September, a (short) vacation to the Heath is still nice. I was lucky, the heather was still blooming in some areas of the nature park and the weather was very good, sunny every day and 20 degrees warm from midday onwards.I rented a guest room in Ollsen near Hanstedt/Nordheide from the Brockmann family. I found the offer online in advance.A clean, well-equipped double room in a really great heather half-timbered house and a very nice guesthouse family. Very considerate and discreet in dealing with her guests. Soothing relaxation is possible in the breakfast room and on the table every morning there is a delicious, varied offer of the best quality food and drinks and the current daily newspaper.Every morning from the room there is a view of a beautifully landscaped, mature and well-maintained autumn garden, with interesting plants and decorations typical of the heath. The parking space for cars is not far from the large property, just beyond the garden path. Good for luggage that needs to be taken into the room.Hygiene rules were observed and the room was frequented every day, b.B. Toilet paper restocked and the waste bin emptied. I found that very pleasant. There is a kettle in the room. Towels also in the shower room. There was also slight heating, as the nights at that time were only plus three degrees, which felt quite cold in the morning. The town of Ollsen is also a small tourist attraction. I really enjoyed walking around there and was amazed at so many properties that were also very well maintained and imaginatively designed, most of which probably also had holiday rooms and apartments under their roofs. If you feel the need to explore the beautiful surroundings, you can quickly get anywhere from Ollsen, even to Hamburg (approx. 45 km). Closer are the Niendorf Wildlife Park (very beautiful there), the Heide Nature and Landscape Conservation Park, some of which start in Ollsen. If you want to go to the Heide adventure center, you can drive to Undeloh, right next to the nature park (Radenbachtal), not far at all. In Hanstedt, about 3 km from Ollsen, the shopping opportunities are closest and there is also a tourist information center that can provide you with all the information you need.Overall, I think it was a good choice to stay with the Brockmann family. I would be happy to come back when the colorful spring arrives in 2022 or later when the heather blooms again.Thank you very much, Brockmann family! There are five sparkling stars for your guesthouse and for the town of Ollsen, which you represent very well with your hospitality company.
