We spontaneously got a comfortable room here for one night with all the trimmings. The house stands in the heath as if it had grown. This also appears in the interior design with small paintings and furnishings that one could think that the original residents lived here, which for me creates the special atmosphere of the house. The room has a toilet and shower, everything is spotlessly clean, what more could you want. The garden invites you to enjoy a book in the lawn on a deckchair or directly on the ground, perhaps from the interesting in-house selection of books. For me the location in the middle of the heath was absolutely heavenly,the trees that surround the garden, just the peace and natural silence. The landlords and employees are very hospitable and open-minded, so it was a pleasure to spend a day here. Many thanks to the family who create such a pleasant atmosphere for guests to relax, recharge and have fun.Anna Mayer

Absolutely top: The house is located in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath. Getting there is easy and there are enough parking spaces. The location is very quiet. Wonderful for relaxing!The house is kept in an older style, both outside and inside, very clean and with attention to detail.At the breakfast buffet there is a normal amount of what is available at a buffet everywhere. The rolls are fresh! Unfortunately there is no bacon for breakfast.We would come back at any time!

A nice place to switch off and breathe deeply.The location is a great starting point for hiking in the middle of the beautiful heathland. The rooms are clean and tidy and the staff is very friendly. I'd love to come back.

We stayed here overnight on our hike on the Heidschnucken Weg. Great place with the flair of a real old house (1900), which you don't often find anywhere else. Service was top and the furnishings were also lovingly designed. Even if we are still passing through here, it would also be the ideal place to switch off and get out for two or three days.

Very clean old house furnished to match the style. Shower and toilet a bit narrow. Breakfast was all available. Ms. Bockelmann is nice and helpful. Landscape a dream. We will be back . Pure relaxation .

Very quiet and exceptionally beautiful nature conservation area. Rooms simple. Furniture and technology from the 50s or 60s. No WiFi or TV wanted. Quite expensive for that!!!, What's special is the really unique location. Suitable for people who can do without frills and are looking for peace and simplicity

Very nice landlady, great house full of charm with old furnishings, great location. Pure peace. Great breakfast. Very clean. You feel absolutely welcome and also receive a lot of tips.Unfortunately the beds are too hard for me and the pillows are full of clumped flakes. Sleeping was therefore difficult. But that's also the only negative point - although not unimportant on such an important holiday.But we would go back at any time and definitely recommend this accommodation.

Last year I stayed at Haus Heidetal with my best friend for a few days. If you go to the Lüneburg Heath to enjoy nature and start hiking directly from the house, Haus Heidetal is the best place for you. Yes, it is an older guesthouse and the furnishings are also not modern and the WiFi only works in the hallway area and in the breakfast room. All of this is stated transparently on the website and it didn't bother us. The breakfast buffet is simple but very tasty (there are also some local products) and the landlords are very friendly and accommodating. We also had a great night's sleep in the beds and enjoyed the peace and quiet in the house. The rooms were also neat and clean. The best thing about the guesthouse for us was that we could hike straight from the house. We had a good, relaxing time here!

A beautiful old inn with a good breakfast in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath.The entire inn is furnished in a very old-fashioned way and the library mainly contains old books.However, if you're there to hike and not read, you'll get your money's worth!Breakfast consists of bread, baked rolls, a good selection of sausage and cheese, eggs and muesli as well as coffee and various types of tea.The housekeeper was very friendly and cared about our well-being.

tl;dr: You can do it, but not for the asking price.First the good: The house is really beautifully located, in the middle of a nature reserve. This means that the positive points are quickly coming to an end.The adventure course begins as soon as you enter the house: the veranda amazes the inclined guest with corner benches from the Möbeldiscount 1988 brand and various "information sheets", either handwritten or printed out in a colorful font potpourri. In the hallway, a hodgepodge of the results of the adult education center course “Finally fear-free arts and crafts” is on sale; luckily the lighting is so dim that details remain hidden. Anyone who gets a room on the first floor can enjoy the latest technology: after a few seconds, the hallway, which is completely devoid of daylight, shines in the light of the surface-mounted lamp and shows the way to the highlight, the room:The operator likes to say that it is a historic house and that the furnishings are therefore "adapted" to it. With this verb you are not only doing an injustice to the actual historic guesthouse, but also to all those who bravely search through the bulky waste for furniture that is still usable. And it may be an individual opinion: But I am not of the opinion that the mattress, blankets, covers and towels also have to be of historical date in order to fit into the overall ensemble.In return, as an adult of average height, you get free exercise when you try to use the sink that is installed at knee (!) height.The offer is rounded off by the various additional offers: a chapel (sic!) with a multi-square meter large Jesus on the wall, a TV/reading room that combines the best literary flea market leftovers with other bulky waste furniture and a fireplace room that impresses with a plastic tablecloth and other mouth-biten decorative junk. I didn't dare go into the "infrared cabin" that was hidden somewhere in the tiled basement.The guiding principle of “historically coordinated” extends to the breakfast buffet: What kind of stories does the bread tell the baked rolls from the past?Anyone who stays at Haus Heidetal for two at the bargain price of €80 per night will have a truly unique experience.
