After an unfriendly and unwelcoming reception, we were accommodated in the neighboring building, the Hotel Bärenstube. We had booked the main house. It's extremely unpleasant throughout the building. The bathroom is dirty. There are sticky stains on the mirror shelf, the floor in the toilet area is stained, the toothbrush cups are dirty and disgusting. Dinner if you have booked half board gives you the rest. You will be greeted at the table with a letter stating that you are not allowed to go to the buffet on your own. I've never eaten so badly. Frozen foods and ready meals. Every euro is a waste for that. We left that same evening. Here even one star is too many.

The carpet in our room wasn't really acceptable😕 Food was good and the service, especially Claudia, was good.Everything is a bit old. But ok...except for the carpets in the back guest house...they urgently need to be removed!

Top service, very nice location, I've been coming back for many, many years - there's nowhere else where you can find such delicious food! Yes, the hotel is a bit older and the rooms are not up to date but better still have an eerie charm. If you like luxury you're in the wrong place but if you want to eat really well and enjoy a nice beer garden then you've come to the right place!

The reception was a bit stiff, the room is nice on the 3rd floor, it's a pity that the elevator was defective. The view was beautiful. Food was good despite the main course being buffet style. This hotel is often visited by bus trips and there were few parking spaces. Staff were busier with the people on the bus trip and a private individual was virtually ignored.

Hotel with morbid charm, everything is no longer quite contemporary but quite ok for 3 nights. You have to be careful not to fall under the wheels of the numerous vehicles that pass through the main road on which the hotel is located. Rooms facing the street are therefore very noisy. Because it's so close to the church, you don't need an alarm clock. The loud ringing of the bell at 6 a.m. ends the night's rest. 🙈I would not choose this hotel for a private stay. Food and service were ok. The Black Forest with its superlatives is definitely worth a trip. 😎

Nice shady beer garden. Service was attentive and quick. Food is plentiful and tasty. Plus a reasonable price-performance ratio. Location is in the town center. Gladly again!
