We went to the Topfmarkscheune for dinner. We were very excited!Regional cuisine made from regional products.It was very tasty.It is also very cozy and lovingly furnished.The staff is very friendly.We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

Stopped here on the way home from Fichtelberg to the state capital to have a nice dinner. Thank God we called the evening before otherwise we probably wouldn't have gotten a table. The restaurant was so busy on Saturday evening. Service was very accommodating and funny too. Ambience very neat and lovingly designed. You can only be amazed at what you can do with an old barn. The menu is also very lovingly and imaginatively designed. And the food first, duck leg, schnitzel with mushrooms, burger or meadow lamb, everything we ordered was plentiful, tender and tasty. Okay, the prices were on average €2.50 higher than last year, but that's how it is in Germany and we hope the money reaches the staff too. We would be happy to come back here again. We can't say anything about the rooms because we were just passing through.

Good for eating out, BUT…We had known the Topfmarktscheune for a long time as a restaurant that offered very good quality and tasty food and that's why we came up with the idea of celebrating our wedding here.Unfortunately, we discovered that the operators don't understand anything about events. At the beginning you are carried in your hands, but then when it gets to the important phase you are left completely alone.In general, we had the feeling that people had no real interest in our event and only accepted it because it was easy money. Inquiries were responded to very late or sometimes not at all. Unfortunately, the communication was correspondingly rude.The end of the celebration was scheduled from 1:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. The decorations could only be done in the morning of the day of the wedding (not one day earlier, as is usually the case) and of course had to be done by us.Agreements on the menu that were made a month before the wedding were overturned a week before the date because you were only dependent on “your suppliers”. The hall and the adjoining terrace, which we had reserved for our company that evening in exchange for a four-figure turnover, were now also used by other guests who were strangers to us and we were forbidden to use the tables.Unfortunately, one of the waiters was very unfriendly, sometimes rude and we received complaints about the service from many of our guests. In general we were made to feel unwanted the whole evening. If you work in the catering industry, a professional and polite demeanor towards guests is considered good etiquette, otherwise you have missed your job. It would also have been nice to congratulate the bride and groom on their wedding, but perhaps we are too used to other weddings in other locations.If it hadn't only been a month before the wedding when this all came to light, we would have looked for another location. However, since this is no longer so easy, we had to celebrate our wedding here (otherwise we wouldn't have had a location) and unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the day as much as we would have liked. The experiences here have ensured that we can't look back on it and remember it with fondness, but well, that can't be changed. After all, a wedding is at best only once in a lifetime, not like a birthday that you simply celebrate somewhere else the next year…It's a shame, but with us and our family they have lost some potential (and existing) gods.We still wish the operators all the best and hope that they take the criticism to heart and rethink their organization and behavior towards guests for the benefit of their future guests.
