A wonderful holiday apartment with a great location, perfect for hikes in the area. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. The facilities are really great and the apartment was spotlessly clean.Absolutely recommended - we would love to come back!

I felt very comfortable in the spacious holiday apartment! The view of the Watzmann is a dream!The apartment was very clean and has everything you need for a nice vacation.Very nice landlord!!There was nothing to complain about at all, gladly again!

We can only say positive things about the Schmitthäusel. From the first contact (via classified ads) to the personal farewell, we were pleasantly surprised. Pictures, descriptions and reality are completely identical, nothing embellished or faked. We still rave about the magnificent view from “our” terrace. The friendly nature of the hostess also creates a good holiday feeling...In the meantime, I have recommended the Schmitthäusl several times - with a clear conscience.Thank you very much again v.d. 3 Steinickes

Beautifully located, clean holiday apartments equipped with every comfort. Divine panoramic view of the Watzmann and his 'family'.Charming, friendly hostess who always cares about the well-being of her guests and has some interesting tips for creating beautiful, relaxing days.With its wide range of leisure activities in summer and winter, the wonderful surroundings appeal to both sporty and ambitious guests as well as those who would like to start the day a little more leisurely - when the weather is nice, for example with a coffee on one of the balconies or terraces with a view of the Watzmann.You certainly won't get bored, as there are beautiful hiking trails (of varying levels of difficulty) and wonderful mountain lakes that invite you to linger, relax and feel good.I'm really looking forward to exploring this great area further on my next stay 😎

Very nicely, comfortably furnished apartment, fantastic view of the Watzmann at any time from the balcony or while eating..There was also a small selection of games and a small selection of books.Anytime again, already planned for Pentecost next yearGreat central location

Spent a few lovely days in this rustic and very clean accommodation. A good starting point to explore Berchtesgarden and the surrounding mountains. A great excursion destination was the gorge that was recommended to us by the warm hostess. The freshly picked flowers were also a warm welcome. On our quiet day we enjoyed the phenomenal view of the Watzmann.

We have been to beautiful Berchtesgaden a few times.We really liked the holiday apartments in the Schmitthäusl.The apartment is very comfortable and we were able to enjoy the view of the Watzmann during breakfast.The landlady gave us some very good hiking tips which we implemented straight away and were thrilled.We will be back.

I was already a guest in one of the Schmittshäusel holiday apartments in 2019 and would now like to give my review.The first thing that immediately struck me was the beautiful view of the Watzmann directly from the terrace or balcony.We were greeted politely and courteously by a nice woman. The process upon arrival on site was very pleasant and quick. The apartment could be entered quickly.The rooms were very rustic and simply furnished. You feel very comfortable and well accommodated. Our apartment had a bathroom with shower and toilet, a bedroom with a double bed and a living room together with a dining area and kitchen. The rooms were nicely furnished and had everything you needed in a small style. Various kitchen utensils such as a toaster, kettle, coffee machine and an oven were available. There was also a sofa and TV.Absolutely fine as accommodation for a holiday in Berchtesgaden.The house is located on a slope and is easy to reach by car. Parking is available directly on the private property. For some people it is a bit difficult to reach on foot, as it is a bit “uphill” on the road, but in my opinion that is not a negative or annoying thing.Many activities can be started from the accommodation without using the vehicle. The old town, shopping and cultural facilities can be reached on foot. Many other options are in the surrounding area and can be reached by car/bus.If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to contact the manager on site.I have attached a few photos to give you an impression.Gladly again

Very nice apartment.Simply furnished, but everything you need is there. The apartment was very clean and the landlady was very nice. The view of the Watzmann from the balcony is beautiful. WiFi is available, but it only worked on the balcony and in the living/dining room. However, that didn't bother us so much.The location is optimal. You can get to the typical excursion destinations quickly by car or in the city on foot.
