The room was nice, clean and quiet. The shared bathroom was clean as well. Not crowded. Check-in was very hard and stressful.

Caution! The accommodation was closed by the trade office! Just don't book! When we arrived we stood in front of a sealed door.

This is going to be a long and in depth review about our experience with Pension Thomas. We arrived around 18h and we had to go into a shopping mall to get to the staircase behind the door where you can see Thomas Pension, I'll provide photos of almost everything in order. We went up a few stairs and there was a sealed door with 2 safes, we got a code for the safe. There were 3 keys inside with our name and room number written on it.We had to go to the other side of the street to another building with a gate (that was still open when we arrived, this is important later), that also kinda went into the back of a shopping mall. There was no information about what door to pick or key to use, so we just tried until we found the right one.We opened the door on the left to find 4 flights of stairs. All the way up there, there was no indication of what door we had to open, there was no label for Thomas Pension anywhere to be found here. So when some other hostel guests opened the right door, we were confused and wanted to leave and they said Thomas Pension? And so we went into the right door. There we found our room, kitchen and bathroom and everything was clean. We got one towel that never got replaced (we booked here for 4 nights). There is a parking garage that is 7 euro a day I believe and parking on the street is free but very hard to find a spot.We took our luggage into the room and went out for dinner. Later when we came back, the gate that was previously open, was locked. We had no idea what to do, we got a code for the abus safe that we saw, but the code did not work. That safe has the key for the gate in it. Since it was late, around 23h, we tried to call them but the 2 phone numbers were not available. So we were locked out of the room, luggage still in there and nobody there to answer our call. We had to stay somewhere else and the next morning they sent me a message on WhatsApp with the right code for the abus safe for the key to the gate. They even tried to blame it on us, for checking in too late, which we didn't. They gave us the wrong code, they probably change it every week or something. They should be more upfront with the fact that you never see anyone when you check in and that they aren't available to call after a certain time. I think it's wrong, to have nobody available to call for help when something happens.I'm trying to get my money back from booking.com, at least for that one night. Because the number I messaged about it just stopped responding to me when I was appalled they were trying to blame us for their mistake. The only positive thing about this place is the location, which is great for the price but I would never stay here again because of how they run their business.I hope this helps you in deciding to stay here or not.Pictures are in opposite order, I apologize, didn't want to start over again organising them.

I booked and requested a disabled room. It was well within the free cancellation period. I chose this property as they offer free cancellation. I am a wheelchair user and suffer ill health so occasionally need to cancel for health reasons. They did not reply until after the free cancellation period was up, to say they had 2nd floor rooms and no lift. Totally unsuitable. I asked for a refund, due to their poor administration but they refused. I feel totally cheated.

Booked this property for a two day stay. Messaged at the time of booking, asking for an accessible room as I am a wheelchair user. No response so I asked again. …

Quite cheap for Berlin. Clean rooms with clean bedding. There is a fridge, kettle and microwave in the entire kitchen. I recommend having your own cutlery and dishes. They seem to be there, but sometimes people don't wash up after themselves. Overall, I recommend this place.
