This time we went to Borkum instead of Heligoland 😉 We ended up at Michaelsen and were more than pleasantly surprised. A great room with everything a person needs. The small terrace is simply great for experiencing nature up close. Even if the patio door is more for Lilliputians, it also shows the charm of the house. The remaining charm comes from the boss, who gives you the pleasant feeling that you are welcome. Unfortunately I had to cut short my stay for professional reasons. Otherwise we would definitely have stayed another night. Gladly again!!!!!!

It was a perfect holiday with our wonderful hosts Manu and Christoph Michaelsen, in a romantic room, with a comfortable, large bed, a large shower and a cute terrace. The house is in the middle of beautiful nature and right next door in the Café Restaurant Ostland, you will be treated to huge portions of delicious food by Tina, Patrick and their hard-working, lovely service staff.

When you come to an island for the very first time and the first person you come into contact with is simply friendly, nice and helpful, you immediately feel at home and arrived. For us, this person was Manuela, the boss of the Insel-Land-Hotel. When you move into the room, you realize after the first “WOW” that loving care has been taken here. Where cattle and cows felt comfortable years ago, you can now find peace and explore the island. THANK YOU, we'll be back!

We were in Borkum for the first time. The reason for our trip was a beach volleyball tournament. Luckily we were able to spend our time in this hotel. Hotel team very nice, courteous and helpful. Rooms very nice and newly renovated. Since we spent our time doing sports, the yoga room and sauna were perfect for regeneration. Breakfast in the attached restaurant was rich and tasty. We also enjoyed lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the time and felt very comfortable. A flagship for Borkum.

It was a wonderful stay in the hotel and on the island. The owner was very warm and also gives sensitive yoga lessons. The restaurant makes excellent food. The room was very nice and lovingly furnished. The location of the hotel in Ostland is quiet and in a wonderful setting. My expectations were exceeded!

Far out as desired. We were on Sylt in January and in the Ardennes in March, this time it should be Borkum. The room is smaller than expected, but very comfortable. I am very excited. Let's see what breakfast will be like. It's been great so far and we're already recovering. Oh yes, you should have a bike if you rent here :))

We were impressed by the ability and willingness of the hosts and their employees, both in the hotel and catering industry. We were amazed by the strong hospitality that is experienced throughout the entire house, no matter what task or role. We received individual attention and were provided with activities tailored to our needs on our own initiative; unobtrusive. We experienced the impressive nature on the doorstep of the hotel intensively and enjoyed the quiet location away from traffic flows and hysterical activities. We were also impressed by the high level of service and comprehensive service offerings. We're coming here again, to the Michaelsen family's island country hotel.

We felt very comfortable in this hotel. Manuela Michaelsen offers a great all-round service. She makes everything possible to ensure that the guests have a good time. We had the room for newlyweds... with a slightly narrower bed. I really enjoyed the yoga lessons with Manu and even went to the sauna straight after yoga. Everything in the house. The in-house restaurant is also great. Service, friendliness and quality are great. We'd love to come back. And I highly recommend this house.
