Very nice, clean and nicely furnished guesthouse. The rooms are modernly furnished. Anyone who takes part in breakfast will get a good start to the day here. I'd love to come back

Very good and quiet apartment that was well equipped and clean. We also liked the balcony and the modern furnishings (just a few too many dried flowers, but that's a matter of taste :)). Thanks to the keys we were able to move into the apartment immediately upon arrival.

A small, cute guesthouse that is furnished with incredible attention to detail. Everything is just right here: from the spacious, very clean room to the lovingly prepared breakfast buffet. All important places can be reached on foot in a very short time. The staff is polite and courteous and makes everything possible that isn't already there. The price is right too. Absolutely clear recommendation!

A great guesthouse with a great, varied breakfast. You are immediately in town and on the promenade. The rooms are large and very clean. We will definitely come back again. 1A recommendation!!!

We had a lovely short holiday in Borkum and felt very comfortable in the Mai-Scholle guesthouse. The breakfast was excellent and the central location was perfect for us! We can only recommend it!

Disappointing!This starts with the “reception”. There is only a deposited key. This continues at breakfast, no one introduces themselves or speaks to you, everything is like in an anonymous hotel. From a small bed and breakfast, especially in this price range, I expect a little warmth and at least an occasional excursion tip or a little small talk. Speaking of breakfast: that's ok at best! Little choice and everything in homeopathic doses. You feel greedy when there are 4 slices of salami waiting behind a 2 man. Grain rolls (discounters?) go quickly. So anyone who writes here about “large selection” and the like definitely has no idea about a really good breakfast buffet!There is free Nescafé in the stairwell, but the glass was empty for three days and then completely gone.The house is very noisy. Coughing, showering, the TV, you can hear almost everything. Outdoor facilities? None. Hardly any garden, no inviting seating other than a beach chair and 3 or 4 chairs, nothing lovely, just a straight path over exposed concrete slabs. 60s flair.The room: spacious and clean at first (!) glance. After a few days and reading/searching on the guesthouse's homepage, I discovered that the room was only cleaned 3 times. “Cleaning” is the wrong word. I think it was given a quick sweep and that was it. Beds not made. Hair and crumbs in some corners, towels were hanging over the heater exactly as before.And last but not least, THE exclusion criterion:No fly screens!! Either 28 degrees or mosquitoes in the room, the choice is yours.If I ever come to Borkum again because of the outstanding beaches, I will definitely book another accommodation. Here the price-performance ratio is not sufficient.
