The Rummeni is a wonderful hotel. It couldn't be more central, right next to the island train station. I was there for 8 nights (October) and was absolutely satisfied. My single room Comfort (4th floor, view over the town and how nice: to the island railway) had a comfortable 140-person bed, a modern bathroom, generous storage space, a wardrobe (where you can dry your jacket, it's the North Sea, you will sometimes wet), heating, refrigerator, safe, armchair, TV and small table. The hotel is not completely barrier-free (a historic building), but does have an elevator. The owners are super nice, as are all the employees. There is a storage space for bicycles in the yard. The WiFi worked perfectly. There is a large lounge where you can get tea (free) and a large selection of cold drinks (for a fee) at any time. Particularly appealing: the breakfast room. So beautifully designed with a "sea dog" on the wall, beautiful lamps, candles and the prettiest breakfast dishes in cream and sea blue. While you are having breakfast you can see the first island trains coming and going. You can tell that everything here has been thought out and furnished with love. Top! There was a large selection at the breakfast buffet and everything was always appetizingly prepared and tasty (the carrot and nut rolls, a dream). Every morning there is a “message in a bottle” on the table with the most important news for the island day. Dear Rummeni family, it was very nice with you, thank you very much and I will be happy to come back.

Rummeni is a wonderful family-run hotel right in the center. The room was old but clean. All rooms will soon be renovated. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Considering that you don't have a newer house, my room was very comfortable and modern. The staff was friendly and nice and there was nothing to complain about at breakfast. 4 stars simply because there is always room for improvement. Thank you for the nice days and see you soon.

The first time in Borkum in the hotel, I would choose the Hotel Rummeni again at any time. From start to finish, super friendly care and service, the room was very clean and stylishly renovated! A very tasty breakfast offering and a friendly, family atmosphere.I was more than satisfied. Thank you!

We have been coming to this very family-friendly hotel for several years. Our last stay was once again perfect, from service to hospitality to the extensive breakfast. The hotel is perfectly located! I have been a guest in this hotel for several years, with my husband and friends. We have always been very warmly welcomed, 🥣 rich service super nice. Rooms neatly clean. We slept wonderfully in the beds. The hotel is centrally located, shopping mile and beach can be reached in a few minutes, 🚏 exactly opposite. Top!

The renovated rooms are super modern, and we really enjoyed the bathroom with a rain shower. The breakfast was also great and the staff were always friendly.It was the first time we were in the hotel but definitely not the last time!

In short: with renovated rooms: 5 stars, with old rooms: 4 stars; overall very good: nice little, sufficient breakfast buffet, coffee etc. is brought to the table. Friendly service and helpfulness. Free tea bar and drinks cabinet at reasonable prices. Special location right in the middle of the city right next to the train station, but still not too loud. Negative with old rooms: tripping threshold in the small bathroom. The entrance to the shower there is over 25 cm high. The bed squeaks with every movement. Large closet smells musty. However, the room and hotel were very clean.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortably furnished. The breakfast buffet also left nothing to be desired, the selection was varied and freshly prepared.However, I was particularly impressed by the friendliness and professionalism. Every employee I met was always helpful and courteous.

We stayed in this hotel for a week, the rooms had slightly older furniture but the service was very good, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great, rich and varied. I thought the price was reasonable, we would like to come back

This is a small feel-good hotel. Right at the train station, short distances to the sea or the center, but absolute peace at night. The renovated rooms are modern and very tastefully decorated. Breakfast is lovingly and freshly offered as a buffet.
