Very nice accommodation!! The breakfast is great, the staff and the owner are super nice. Dog was very welcome! Unfortunately, our 5 days on site were too short. We'll be back...everything's great!!!

Unreasonable cancellation fees – stay away from this guesthouse!Unfortunately I am forced to give a negative review for this guesthouse. Even though I canceled my room three months in advance, I was charged the full price.No goodwill despite early cancellation:The guesthouse’s cancellation fees are simply outrageous. There was still plenty of time until Easter, the booked period, to re-rent the room. The fact that I was still charged the full price is outrageous and shows no goodwill on the part of the operator.Despite my efforts to reach an amicable agreement, the operators showed no concession whatsoever. They insisted on the full cancellation fees without taking into account the situation and the long time until the travel date.Poor service and customer unfriendliness:This behavior leaves a bad aftertaste and shows a lack of service and customer unfriendliness. I can therefore not recommend this guesthouse in any way.Conclusion:If you want to expose yourself to unreasonable cancellation fees and unfriendly service, this guesthouse is in good hands. Everyone else should look for other accommodation.

Very centrally located accommodation on Borkum within walking distance of the train station! Arrival and key collection was contactless via a combination lock box. Unfortunately, we only saw the staff on the last day of our 4-night stay, so a lot was lost in the communication, e.g. the allocation of the breakfast table to the room numbers and the tourist tax processing. But it worked in the end. If you get up late for breakfast, the choice becomes scarce or you end up staring down the tube. Despite asking, there was no refill. The rooms are sufficiently large and clean but unfortunately also very noisy. It's best to take earplugs if you have a room next to the dining room!

The room was simply furnished. Everything is getting old. Basically, it's not a problem if it's well maintained. However, the room smelled very musty. There was mold everywhere in the shower in the bathroom. Heating pipes are lying on plaster, all rusty. It wasn't cleaned while we were there. No towels were changed and no toilet paper was refilled - all upon request. The breakfast was okay, but if something wasn't available we had to ask again. Unfortunately, the staff didn't come up with the idea of refilling it.P.S. We were not the table of 9 as written below by the owner.Accept criticism and improve it, then the reviews will also work.

Simple guesthouse.Terrace furniture, two chairs old as if they had been worn out by bulky waste.Very loud.Primitive.Everything is worn out.No room available upon arrival despite booking.Then for 4 days single room directly opposite the kitchen and next to the front door which was just slammed.Sleep was out of the question.Children screaming loudly until after 9 p.m., then kitchen noise from around 6:30 in the morning.Unbelievable something like that in Borkum.Never cheaper again.

Simple, outdated guesthouse that is completely sufficient!But the price-performance ratio is top! For breakfast there are fresh bakery rolls and everything you need… Owners and staff very friendly!We will book again :-)

Cozy accommodation. Were here in winter and it was nice and warm. Breakfast buffet was sufficient and tasty. The employees are super nice and sweet. The rooms are sufficient and spacious. Bathroom is also a great size 👍

We've been there twice now and will be spending a few days there again soon. We really enjoy being there. The breakfast is great, whether egg or scrambled eggs, an extra roll, wishes are catered for. The rooms are also very nice and comfortably furnished. Ms. Strenger and her staff are super nice. You can also linger in the breakfast room to play games or something. There is also a refrigerator there that can be used by everyone. The guesthouse is central and you can easily reach everything.

The Pension Souchon is a house in the interior of the island of Borkum. You can't see the sea, but you can hear it roaring. And in the evening you can see the beam of light from the lighthouse. It's estimated to be a little more than 1000 m from there to the promenade. If you take the shortest route then it's no more than 500 m. The guesthouse only has staff in the morning who prepare breakfast and clean the rooms. If you arrive during the day, you have to call the boss. They will then tell you the code with which you can then open the key box. It is to the right of the entrance door. Once you have opened the door, you put the key back and go to your room. When you call, you will be told which one it is along with the code. The key is in the room door.The guesthouse conveys a very family atmosphere, which applies to the guests among themselves as well as between the staff and the guests and vice versa. Dogs are very welcome in the guesthouse, as the owners also have at least one. The guesthouse has a lot of guests who come back every year. This is not because of the luxury, but almost because of the heated interaction!!!

Great central location and a very friendly welcome, the breakfast is very rich, the rooms have everything you need and are clean to a slightly older standard but that didn't bother me. I booked directly for next year👍👍👍👍What's more important Dogs are also allowed 😀
