With a touch of Malerwinkel, a very idyllic guesthouse with a well-kept garden right on the water. OK, no TV in the room and no WiFi in the house. So it has something of a “digital detox” about it. If in doubt, you can use a hotspot and cell phone. The day begins very relaxing with a view of the sunrise over Birnau Monastery in the vineyards until the sunset over the peaceful Lake Constance - which can also be stormy at times.

It was a bad day for us. The rooms are no longer up to date. Lots of tripping hazards to the rooms. No TV in the room!! At 10:30 p.m. the bed collapsed. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired for the price of the room.

A very pleasant little guesthouse! The Pension Haus Seefrieden is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. This is only frequented by pedestrians and cyclists, so it is incredibly quiet.The location is absolutely great, right on Lake Constance, if you like you can also go swimming there. The house has a wonderful farm garden with a few benches to relax with a view of the lake.My room was a double room for single occupancy with a side view of the lake. It was very quiet and clean.For breakfast, the guests' wishes were asked in advance, as the rolls were delivered regularly. There was jam, cheese, sausage, juices, coffee, tea etc!The innkeepers are very friendly and take care of their guests and their wishes.Birnau Monastery is a 5-minute walk away. It's an hour's walk through the forest to Affenberg Salem. also to the pile dwellings in Unteruhldingen. The guesthouse is ideal for these activities!If it doesn't have to be a star hotel with all the bells and whistles, the Pension Haus Seefrieden is highly recommended.

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Large, beautifully landscaped garden with its own lake access. Gently sloping sea beach and fantastic views. Free loungers, space for everyone whether in the sun or in the shade. Free parking and a room for bicycles. The room was small and nice, but there are many others and larger ones with balconies and direct lake views. For us it was the perfect room. Everything was very clean, everything was great and a beautiful view of the lake. The shared fridge was great. The breakfast was great, everything was enough and you could catch up if you wanted. Everything was very clean. There are also very good restaurants in the area. Thank you...we'll be back...great relaxation for us!!

Very nice, nice house, lovely garden, right on the lake, perfect for a short bike holiday. So far so good. Unfortunately there was no garden or balcony furniture in May, although the weather invited us to sit outside. I also really missed a breakfast buffet because I don't feel like standing at the counter for every slice of cheese in the morning. One or two situations were special, but we still had a nice time.

Very familiar and friendlyOwn lake access on a huge property.Parking spaces available. The last house in a car dead end. So no traffic noise.Almost only regular guests. We also become regular guests hereWe were here again in 2021. Welcomed and treated like family! Very nice!

Absolute insider tip for anyone looking for peace and relaxation. Very clean and well-kept guesthouse located in a lonely location at the end of a cul-de-sac. Wonderful lawn with private lake access under huge trees in a wonderful garden. We haven't seen anything like it on the entire lake. If you are looking for real peace and quiet (and can still live without WiFi), there is no better holiday. And the Lake Constance cycle path leads directly in front of the house. We'll definitely be back!

Idyllic little guest house, right on the lake. Located directly on the bike path by the lake in a dead end (for cars). Good breakfast with a well-kept selection that exceeds the guesthouse standard. Well-kept gardens at the house and direct access to the lake.

The house is beautifully located directly on Lake Constance below the Birnau with a view of Mainau.Our room was nice, but the bed was sagging and the bathroom was tiny. It's a real challenge for a tall person. You get into trouble everywhere. Not every room has an integrated bathroom and you have to go across the hallway.The advertised, rich breakfast buffet seems counted and is rather boring.The actually beautiful balcony is designed carelessly or not at all. Although the weather was very nice early this year, the plastic chairs were still folded up in the corner. There was no table and no privacy from the neighbors.Overall, in some places we had the impression that we were simply saving money, but you could achieve a lot with little effort and little money! (The price for the rooms is quite impressive!)The guest is encouraged to turn off the lights in the hallways in the evening to save electricity. Unfortunately it's only possible there for the ground floor... and the hallway is dark! Motion detectors would be a clever and not too complex or low-cost solution here!The ladies who took care of breakfast were friendly and tried to please the guest and also gave tips.However, the “room service” was much more modest. So we didn't have any glasses in the room. Instead, we use the toothbrush cups for our drinks. They weren't even replaced in 5 days!The landlord couldn't say hello and closed the door right in our faces.We couldn't sit on the beach either because there wasn't any furniture outside yet.Conclusion: a really nice accommodation with lots of options! I wish the owners lots of joy and happier hands!
