The hotel is old, but a very nice building. Food.well. If you're not spoiled, it's fine. But if Viennese fried chicken with cucumber potato salad is on the menu in the evening, that's what you expect. There were 4 chicken nuggets on top of the potato salad. Very big disappointment. But very friendly, nice staff. And the hotel is ideally located at the harbor in Staad. Bus to Konstanz behind the house. Great connection to Meersburg by ferry. And take the bus directly to the island of Mainau.

The operator cannot do anything about the poor signage through the construction site. But he doesn't do anything about it eitherThe reception is only there from 3 p.m. and until 7 p.m. So not very customer friendly. Of course, there are far fewer parking spaces than guests.We specifically chose a hotel that advertises that it accepts dogs. Of course, appropriate upbringing is a prerequisite. In reality it looks different. Dogs are not welcome here!!!! If you have one with you, it should stay in the room.After they didn't let us into the restaurant. We offered to dine on the terrace (despite the rain). We were left to sit there for an hour and then told. No, we don't serve you here.Apparently there was an incident weeks ago where dogs misbehaved.At this point I just hope that children don't even misbehave. Then they definitely don't want families here anymore.It's hard to imagine what happens when someone gets angry after drinking wine...then...Doesn't matter. The view from my room was a bus stop.The room is ancient and only functionalEverything together. I cannot recommend staying overnight and stopping at the restaurant

A somewhat outdated hotel. The lady at reception was very friendly and accommodating. We were there a little early and were allowed to move into our room earlier. The rooms themselves were neat and clean. They were equipped with everything necessary, but no luxuries. The shower was a bathtub with a shower curtain. The location of the hotel directly on the lake was of course great.The food was good. It was properly cooked with high quality food. Basically recommended!

My partner and I checked into the hotel for 2 nights. Unfortunately, the website is a bit misleading and the hotel is really getting old. The room was also very unmodern and extremely noisy. Unfortunately, it was very warm in the room, which meant we had to leave the window open at night, even though the resulting noise level didn't allow us to sleep well. The room was okay in terms of cleanliness, with room for improvement. Unfortunately the stairwell was extremely dirty and the dirt was still on the floor after 2 nights. In the evening we didn't get a table for dinner, even though almost all the seats were free again just an hour later. The breakfast on the first day was good, although the staff had to struggle with the high number of guests. On the second day, breakfast was a disaster, there were no more plates, no more butter, no more rolls, some jams were empty and overall the selection was very limited, even though we arrived in the dining room at 8:45 a.m. The dinner on the second evening, however, was very good, but also very expensive. Overall, we wouldn't come again.

Being near to the Bodensee is the only thing this hotel got going for it. The floors were dirty, the interior was old, no AC (and that in the 30C heat!).|The breakfast is very expensive and there were almost no vegan options or even fresh fruit/veggies. |Would not go there again and would not recommend anyone staying here.
