The rooms were very dirty, some of the rooms had mold in a few places! There was hair in the shower from people in front of it. The chicken that was in the rice was raw inside. In general, the food wasn't very appetizing (it tasted moldy and the noodles were overcooked).

The food was pretty good and all, and the billiards table in the basement was my favorite! But the only thing I'd change is that the rooms should also have internet, and no spiders, there were a lot of spiders there and spider webs, but it's not that bad. So for teenagers, I think it's good!

The food is not particularly good, there is often only vegan stuff. Hair occasionally appears in food. If you put at least 3 packets of salt and pepper on the food it will be just about enjoyable, but the staff is nice.

Really nice people, quiet place... I would go back again undoubtedly... But mainly because their buffet IS just amazing and vegan food is increibly good most of the days!

Great food. Nice, quiet location and yet easily accessible. If you stay in the tower, you will experience that very own youth hostel feeling, plus a fantastic view of the lake!

We had a room in the newer part, it was functionally furnished, the sanitary facilities seemed to have been recently renewed and it was clean. The only thing that would make sense is a fly screen, you can't ventilate without having a zoo in the room. Breakfast and dinner were sufficient, there was lots of fruit, vegetables and vegan/vegetarian alternatives. The location was ideal for us, the bus at the nearby stop runs often and until late in the evening.

Very unclean room with hair in the shower from the previous person and lots of large spiders in the room.Dinner terrible: only fried food, salad and burnt cake.A simple boiled potato and steamed vegetables were completely missing. Buffet area too small. I missed regional Lake Constance products.Checkout: No asking if you liked it.Rest at night was only possible after midnight because the young people were selfishly acting loudly.Location: easily accessible by bus.

The exhaust from the kitchen was in front of our window, we had bad smells and warm air in our room the whole time and we couldn't sleep in the evening because the device made loud noises the whole time.

The youth hostel is not very well equipped. There are no towels or soap. Unfortunately, the breakfast is also not very varied. It seems like everything would be saved at all ends. We had booked three rooms. In one room the condition was not OK for the hostel and they then wanted a special cleaning for all three rooms as the blankets and pillows need to be washed. We had hoped that the blankets and pillows would be washed regularly anyway, but unfortunately this doesn't happen for cost reasons. The interaction was very rude and had nothing to do with hospitality. Communication was also difficult because the staff tried to talk to us much too late and spoke to us in an upset and inappropriate manner. Due to assumptions and accusations that the beds were not made properly, we had to pay an immense sum. This was not communicated throughout the entire stay. Only when we left when the gentleman was already very angry. That's why accusations were made against us that were baseless.We are a bit disappointed with how we were treated as guests and how we were managed.

We stayed there twice within a week, that was the start and finish of our tour around Lake Constance by bike. Unfortunately, on the first night we didn't have a room together but had to stay in shared rooms with other guests, divided according to gender. But it wasn't a problem either. Very nice and friendly staff at reception and in the kitchen. The view from the tower room (if it faces the water) is simply gigantic. Half board was very tasty, especially the homemade jam!!

Wow, I was there with my son at the weekend and we had such a great time. The front desk staff were super friendly. They recommended many excursions to us, even in bad weather. The food was great, especially the breakfast: homemade jams and the like. a large selection of delicious things even organic! Kitchen boss was also very nice! From our rooms we could partially see Lake Constance and a great view of the bee garden. I briefly got to know the hostel management and they told me a lot about the youth hostel... all I can say is: keep it up!...

Quite expensive for what it is: youth hostel with 6 bed rooms. There are no curtains on the beds and only one toilet/shower per room. No elevator and I was only told on site that I had to buy a membership card.However, the breakfast is very good and there is a large selection even for vegans/vegetarians!The staff is friendly, but unfortunately the employees couldn't do anything about the screaming from the youth groups until 3 a.m

Nice accommodation for school trips with friendly and nice staff. The rooms in the main building are functional but in good condition with new bathrooms and large windows, as are the lounges and lobby. From some rooms and the inner courtyard you have a beautiful view of Lake Constance. The food is exceptional for a youth hostel, there are homemade spreads and jams, a large selection of fresh fruit, and most of the students also found something suitable for dinner, as many vegetarian alternatives are offered. The staff in the kitchen is very nice and helpful.The hostel is well connected to public transport with several bus lines.Unfortunately, the point of criticism is that the reception is no longer staffed after 10 p.m. and no youth hostel employees can be reached on site. In nocturnal groups, this can be very disturbing for all other guests if the accompanying teachers do not intervene or do not notice it themselves.

Just offering rooms here is a disgrace. The tower resembles a prison and the Allman Cemetery right next door is also inconvenient. Stayed with the class for a week and the first impression alone was simply shocking. I was in a room in the tower. The rooms are completely dirty and the broom was crossed through the room in a maximum of 3 strokes. There is no soap in the bathroom and our bathroom was in the hallway (not lockable). There was often mold in the joints and some of the tiles were rotten. The toilet paper feels like it only has half a layer and the toilet stinks. The mattresses are rock hard and do not allow sleep. The pillows are practically non-existent because they are filled with a handful of feathers (you can also just sleep without a pillow - it makes no difference). Most of the drinks from the vending machines have expired. The food is as bad as anywhere else (I'm used to canteen food but I've never had such bad food - packed lunches consist of rotten apples and Kinder Duplo). There was fruit with the meal, but most of it was already in the fermentation process.I have read many other reviews and the youth hostel always responds with “we will fix the problem” or that they will generally take care of it, but it is exactly the same as in the reviews from a year ago or even olderJUST DON'T GO THERE... CONVINCE YOUR TEACHERS OR I HAVE NO IDEA BUT TRUST ME IT'S REALLY NOT A PLACE YOU WANT TO STAYApart from the hostel, Konstanz and the location in general are very nice :)
