We were there with 8 people.The food was very good and prepared with love on the plate. Service friendly and attentive. Ambiance was modern, cozy and very inviting. Of course we'll be back. The only drawback is that there are always people who are unable to throw their butts into the ashtray.

An all-round successful evening. The fireplace room looks modern and is beautifully furnished. The food was very tasty, especially the autumnal trifecta and the portions were more than generous. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The service was reserved but friendly.

Great hotel, great restaurant. The staff is very friendly, young, fresh, courteous and attentive without being intrusive. The dishes are very tasty, well portioned and have the typical, regional touch. Here you are happy to be a guest and always welcome. Keep it up!

We have rarely experienced such a good and well-rounded offer (restaurant, food, service, rooms, surroundings). Great ambience, very good service, very tasty food at reasonable prices...actually an insider tip! We will definitely make the 45-minute journey more often to spend a nice time at the post office in Berching. A big thank you to everyone involved for their great job! Cheers!

Simply wonderful! We were able to celebrate our wedding in the cultural hall and in the post office beer garden. All guests were absolutely thrilled with the location and the Post & Service catering. The preparations with the postal team went flawlessly and the professional cooperation left nothing to be desired. Thank you very much for the great event with you!

I was there today for dinner, probably the best in terms of quality and taste that I have ever had in Germany. (So far, restaurants in Switzerland have been my benchmark for good restaurants). In addition, it was absolutely worth the price.

A highly recommended hotel in beautiful Berching! We felt very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and everything was carried out professionally. The food (evening and breakfast buffet) tasted wonderful and we were able to particularly enjoy it in the beautiful, airy and quiet outdoor area.Really only point of criticism: our room (first floor) had no fly screens on the window and so we slept with the window closed, which wasn't so pleasant in the warm temperatures.Thank you very much for this beautiful place, we would love to come back!

The hotel is located in the historic suburb of Berxhing, in a very beautiful old post office that has been modernized with great attention to detail. The rooms are modern and functionally designed but offer onereally pleasant comfort. The kitchen offers a clear menu with many vegetarian and vegan options, everything was really made with great craftsmanship. The service is really nice and competent...

Large room and well furnished, but unfortunately hot, with a lot of dust and with a big, big problem: wasps that entered several times through the two windows without mosquito nets. After we reported this problem, the staff said that it was possible to move to the next room... with the windows always on the same side... I preferred to ask for a fan.

Beautifully prepared old house with attention to detail. Room was spacious and attractive, very clean, very friendly staff.Breakfast buffet was very well stocked with regional ingredients. We had booked the star arrangement. Even in the beer garden the table was festively set with white covers. The food was fantastic. And then the location in a really beautiful town. Highly Recommended. We'd love to come back.

An all-round and absolutely recommended hotel! Very friendly staff - as is often the case in Bavaria. A beautiful hotel restored with a lot of love and understanding of design. Also perfect for seminars/events. The restaurant is sensational with a wonderful outdoor area. Rarely have we eaten so well in a hotel. The location is very good in the old town center, nice starting point for hikes/activities. The rooms only get one tiny star deducted because it was quite warm in the attic and it was difficult to ventilate - a small tribute to the monument protection... In addition, the television was mounted on the wall to the left of the bed, which wasn't really ideal. But that's really complaining at a very high level! Thank you for the lovely stay!

Visited in October '23. Hotel was mostly empty, yet they tucked us away in a 3rd floor room near the service elevator and the room smelled like sewage. At least the view was nice.

What a great house - a gem after the renovation!And the beer garden is fantastic - (unfortunately something like that is rare!) It's a wonderful place to sit! 😊The food is very tasty, everything is fresh and beautifully prepared!The selection of drinks goes very well with it…The service was very friendly and attentive…There were 7 of us and we were all completely satisfied 👍😊We will be back definitely…A big compliment to the entire team 😉

Stylishly renovated historic building, successful mix of tradition and modernity, attractive sauna area, idyllic surroundings, rich breakfast buffet.Then why only three stars?We had booked the star hour package. The regional menu on the first evening was consistently good, with the delicious sauces particularly worth mentioning. The 4-course menu on the second evening, however, brought a massive drop in the quality of the kitchen: extremely over-salted beef broth, an asparagus ratatouille that was also completely over-seasoned (probably with tomato paste), in which the asparagus flavors were lost without a chance, thoroughly cooked dry slices of veal fillet, and for dessert a glass-hard caramelized dish Creme brulee and a fruit salad with already started fruit.The absolute low point, however, was that the main course was served by a waitress who had not yet been present, who placed the plates on the table and disappeared again without comment. She had simply forgotten the wine accompaniment...When pointed out in a friendly manner, she responded in a mushy tone: "If you want wine with every course, you have to order it separately." Once again kindly pointed out that we had ordered a menu with wine accompaniment and that she was welcome to take a look at the menu plan that was still at the table, she studied it for minutes and then disappeared again. Not a word of regret, nothing... Unbelievable!Our first naive assumption that it must be a temporary worker who is not familiar with the menus on offer, which could at least partially excuse her ignorance (but not her tone of voice), was wrong: the lady is part of the restaurant's permanent service team.Many minutes later another waitress brought the wine...Conclusion: Both the performance of the kitchen and the service staff in question (the other two colleagues were always courteous and friendly) were worlds below the propagated standards and price structure of the house that evening.
