The location was great for us, we had short distances. Parking available directly at the guesthouse. The breakfast buffet was very tasty and sufficient for us.

We wanted to spend our training camp in Thuringia and booked this accommodation through a sports tour operator.At the beginning we were greeted rather harshly, although the tone did not change over the course of the week.It was made clear to us straight away that we had to adhere to the rules of the house, such as clearing away the glasses, which wasn't a bad thing at first. Unfortunately the way it was conveyed was that if this didn't happen there would be no breakfast the next morning. (probably wasn't meant to be entirely serious, but it came across as very serious 😆)The rooms are either 1, 2 or 3 bed. We couldn't find any faults with our rooms and were very satisfied. We could always get new towels upon request, but there was no other service. (but it wasn't necessary)Unfortunately, the biggest criticism of this guesthouse is the food. Nothing is freshly prepared, rather it comes from a can!!Since we booked it through a sports tour operator, we assumed that there would be at least some fruit or vegetables for lunch and dinner, but this only happened when we asked on the third day, and then there were only tomatoes and cucumbers.Many things, such as muesli, yoghurt and pumpernickel, were simply way past their best-before date, which is simply not possible!In addition, our muesli for lunch and evening was taken away from us because we often took a bowl because the food wasn't filling. (It has to be said that, for example, I had a calorie turnover of 4000-5000 kcal per day). I then asked if the muesli (which had already expired for 3 months) could be put back for a little money, but I was told that I would have to discuss it with the boss, who didn't respond to the request.Unfortunately, the lady who told me this also needs to be mentioned because we noticed her negatively several times in the 6 days. One of our colleagues wanted one more dumpling and one less piece of meat. In the end she got the end of a dumpling, which felt like it was nothing. We also had two vegetarians with us, which also created a big hurdle for the innkeeper. The vegetarians had gravy twice and meat in their meals once. Impossible! Luckily we always discovered this beforehand.We almost always only got one portion, which was clearly not enough.A vegetarian colleague got dumplings with gravy. After we kindly pointed out that it wasn't vegetarian, the colleague only received a plate of dry dumplings. Her other plate was taken away again and when asked if the plate could be left there, she just mumbled something. After repeatedly asking about the plate, all I was told was that the food was thrown away.

A very cozy guesthouse in idyllic landscapes in the middle of the Suhler Land in the Thuringian Forest.The innkeeper carefully attends to all of her guests' wishes and provides delicious food and drink every day.And for the cold nights of January, the beds provide a warm covering like a serf cocoon.The only point of criticism: The WLAN in the house does not meet current standards - and some applications are blocked.

Clean, tidy, nice owner. Why not 5 but 4 stars? The WiFi is a bit weak. In our room it was only enough for one corner and not for everything. But that's really the only point of criticism, otherwise a clear recommendation!

I have never experienced such unfriendly service. Sorry, but no one sees me there anymore.

Very cozy guesthouse and highly recommended for visiting an event in Suhl. We felt very comfortable and had a lot of fun. The hostess is really great and very warm. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Nice rooms and good location. Not a lot of bells and whistles and still very comfortable. Bathroom even had a shower and bathtub. Highly Recommended.

Cozy guesthouse in a central location. 10 minutes walk from the train station. I would book again.
