The family holiday village of Schillig is a relaxing place for families. The location right by the sea is really wonderful,The only drawback is that the houses are a bit outdated and have not been modernized much.Nevertheless, they offer enough space even for large families

Beautifully quiet holiday village complex, directly behind the dike is the Baltic Sea. From the dike you can, among other things: look as far as Wangerooge. The cycle paths in the region are well developed. Wangerland is definitely worth a visit.

Everything is great. Clean rooms, nice reception and almost directly on the sandy beach.

We were in Schillig spontaneously from Saturday to Sunday with 4 people and two dogs. The accommodation was over two floors and very clean. The employees love animals and we received a warm welcome. The apartment is located right on the dike and it was only a few meters to the dog beach. We explored the area on foot and ate and drank something here and there. Along the promenade you come directly to the Horumersiel outer harbor. If you want to go to Edeka, it's best to walk along the dike, past the sheep and after 2.5 km you can also shop there on Sundays. The night in the AS holiday village was very quiet, there isn't much tourism anywhere in April. Schillig is also highly recommended for families with small children, there are playgrounds everywhere and the beach is very wide with lots of sand for sand castles.Simply a great inexpensive travel destination

We were there out of season, so it was a very quiet place.Holiday home okay, in need of a bit of renovation, but that's not a limitation.Shower OkayOnly a few meters to the Wadden Sea.All in all recommended.

Unfortunately the furnishings are very lacking in detail and there isn't really much decoration :/

Once and never again, hardly any friendliness except for 2 people, the food booked was not worth mentioning or did not correspond to the price/performance ratio,Little selection, quality okay, etc.Lots of tripping hazards on the paths and in general it could be better maintained. A new coat of paint on the houses would be great.The small slide in the playground is broken, children can easily get injured and the large play tower could also be painted/maintained.

I am very angry and sad. I rented a house with an extra 2 bedrooms there through booking.com. However, the booking confirmation only stated 1 bedroom. My friend told me she had had the same problem once and called them and they immediately came up with a solution. Unfortunately not at all for me. I had to write 10,000 emails (since you can't call because of construction work at the moment) only to be told that I was unlucky and would have to pay double the price if I wanted 2 bedrooms. So customers are treated differently.

We had a wooden holiday home for 6 people.OG:- The two children's rooms are tiny. Bunk bed, and 1 chest of drawers for clothes. There is a corridor in between, there is no more space.-Bathroom upstairs: small but big enough. Shower, toilet, sink.EC:-Master bedroom two movable single beds. 2 bedside cabinets. Two wardrobes. Space to walk around the bed.- Small kitchen. Oven, hob. No dishwasher, but adequately equipped. No door to the living room and no curtains on the window. In the evening you could never know whether the neighbors would be watching TV through the window or whether they would see you running to the toilet at night.- Wheelchair accessible toilet and separate bathroom- Living and dining room nice and large, adequately equipped. Unfortunately no curtainsOnly blackout blinds provide privacy.Table and chairs for outside were also available.So far so good.Cons:- Shower leaking at the top. It dripped into the parents' bed when someone showered upstairs. So only one bathroom can be fully used. No compensation and repairs only possible after the stay.- There was construction work everywhere on the premises (which was not pointed out beforehand)Because of the construction sites, there was no lounge for older children (there was no table tennis or table football or anything like that)- WiFi was disrupted and wasn't repaired throughout the week. No WiFi in the holiday home.- No offers for families on site. Childcare is only available for children aged 4 and over and is only of interest to primary school children. There was nothing for older people.- Dining room too small for everyone and when you came later some things were often no longer there.Food really wasn't ours.- no labeling of allergens. Sausage plates without information about what meat is in the sausage.- several puddings for dessert but no lactose-free ones.- Cauliflower sometimes cooked like porridge.- constantly repeating products. Food was always buffet style. In 7 days there were probably roulades four times and meatballs just as often. Once there was rice (plus there was curry with meat which was delicious) but unfortunately no vegetarian curry.- on Hamburger Day, there were no vegetarian patties. Instead, a frozen pizza for the vegetarians.The food for vegetarians (i.e. those who don't eat fish) was generally really poor.-sweeteners in juice and hot cocoaOh and the thing about the ants and spider webs from another post here. We had those too. But there were traps in the kitchen.- Mask requirement in the dining room and at the reception is okay, but you should have been informed about this before arrival.What would I wish for?- more information before arrival.Per:- there was always fruit and raw vegetables/salad with the meal.- Rolls from the bakery in the morning- Theyou can travel with a dog!The location is great, especially for families with dogs. The dog beach is within walking distance.Bringing a dog costs an additional fee. Just like an interim cleaning.
