We also hung the "No Room Service Requested" sign on the door.  STILL, the “landlord” ignored our wishes and illegally entered the rented premises while we were away!☹see also NOT liked by Hartmut in 07/2021 via booking.com: I suspect that while we were leaving the premises, a person entered the rented area...The OTHER guests, unknown to us, with these “identical” reviews are understandable to us, as we experienced it just as negatively!NOISE, old house with wooden floors and water pipes, toilet etc. whose noises can be heard at night.ROLLER SHUTTERS,The double room couldn't be closed properly, so the lantern light from outside was annoying at night!Was addressed and supposedly fixed. Unfortunately that wasn't the case afterwards either, see pictures!MATTRESS too soft for 81 kg - back pain after the first night!☹ On the day of the return journey and on the next working day for a massage! Other guests from Leer also complained of back pain after just one nightBREAKFAST ROOM/Shared Lounge/TV Area/Executive Lounge Access:Cold at 9 a.m. on the second day, fireplace turned on too late.The following days no more wood was added during breakfast ☹This room also had a radiator that was not being used! As a result, it was mostly cold there.BATH - cold at 6:18am - 14 degrees!In the large shower area there is a decorative shelf that hinders the operation of the roller shutter belt, see picture and with the risk of the decoration being splashed wet!The vanity/toilet area is very small in relation to the shower area. Everything is perfect, even hot water when showering wasn't a problem, beds are very comfortable, TV runs great, nice starting point for hiking, note: 2G+

The guesthouse is a good starting point for many great trips in the Harz. Very quiet location, in a positive sense. Rooms spacious, clean and well maintained. The owner is very friendly and gives great tips for unforgettable holidays. We will come back.

We were guests here for the first time and found a nice, quiet guesthouse. Our hosts gave us a very warm welcome and made our stay as pleasant as possible.
