The service was extremely hospitable and attentive. You really felt welcome. The quality of the food far exceeded that of a mountain snack bar; it was freshly prepared and very tasty. We would love to come back again.

A wonderful place to stop for a break near the Wurmberg middle station. We stopped by on our hike, were warmly welcomed, looked after and it is simply recommended - always with pleasure.With good weather, calm music and nice conversations, we enjoyed spending 2 hours there

Year 2024: Harz again, Wurmberg again, middle station again, toboggan house and citizens eaten again. Again 6 stars. But this time with +. Because the chef recognized me from last year. Mega.Year 2023: I found out that the new hut has been standing for a good 2 years.Great cabin, great food, great guys.We really liked it.8 dishes, 4 of which are vegan. Non-alcoholic pilsner was great.Thank you.Oh yeah, 6 stars.

The hut is beautifully located and the food is great. Service and kitchen work with love and you can tell we taste it. Lots of homemade dishes, apart from fries, which are also available in a pinch. Clearly recommended.

Highly recommended restaurant near the middle station of the Wurmberg cable car. We rested there and had lunch on the outside terrace in the self-service area. Very high quality food, well organized service.Thank you very much, we really liked it!

We got off at the middle station and had a bite to eat. The view there is beautiful (if you can still call it a beautiful view in the Harz). The food on offer is equivalent to a snack bar, although I don't have to pay more than 6 euros for a fries in any snack bar. OK, there was no extra charge for mayo. Then the kicker: there is exactly 1 (!!) toilet available for all guests of the “restaurant”. All guests of the restaurant have to go to this one toilet if they have to. A seated toilet that children, adults, men and women have to use. Ask?? How can something like that be, when every small snack bar is told by the public order office exactly how many toilets it has to have, separated for women and men? For this fact alone, the outdoor catering cannot receive more than 1 star (even less anyway). In addition, the lighting in this toilet was also defective; instead there was a floor lamp in the toilet.

Halfway up Wurmberg, hikers can take a breather and let themselves be pampered.Recommendation:Kaiserschmarrn for 2 (without raisins, but very tasty)Unfortunately the forest around Braunlage is a bit malady at the moment.

The toboggan house can be found at the middle station. It is a nice place to linger and where you can unwind. Here you can get drinks and a little something to eat. For dinner we had homemade pancakes filled with jam and drinks such as wine, Aperol and spritzer. We always like to go to Rodelhaus when we are on the Wurmberg. There is also a playground at the toboggan house.
