We stayed here for a family weekend. The employees are very nice, unfortunately everything is very worn out and urgently needs a general overhaul. The price was also more than expensive. The half board is twice a cold buffet and unfortunately not with a lot of choice. We were only allowed to drink drinks that were provided by the accommodation and that too at overpriced prices. I wouldn't go here again.

We went to the Schierker Baude for a school trip. Our 4th graders were extremely satisfied with the rooms, food, grounds and leisure activities. The organization of our planned tours (tickets, local tour guide) worked well. Only for us was we cooked again in the evening because we always had a picnic at lunchtime. It wasn't the first time our school was there - and it won't be the last time a class went to the building. We look forward to next time.

I was in the building as a carer for a 3rd grade class and was pleasantly surprised by what was offered to the children here. Football, volleyball, bowling, many activities in the gym. The food was very tasty and plentiful, especially the grilled meat and the stick bread. The rooms were clean and even had their own bathroom. The staff was very nice and did everything to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The Schierker Baude is highly recommended.

The Schierker Baude is one of the best places to employ young people. The food tastes good, the rooms are completely adequately furnished. The building itself offers an extensive program for shaping time. But there are also numerous employment opportunities in the immediate area. We enjoy going to the Schierker Baude and have done so for many years.

We had a wonderful school trip with our 4th grade class here in the Schierker Baude! The children were enthusiastic about the diverse program: bowling, baking bread, playing football here on the grounds. ,All employees are very friendly and helpful. Many thanks again to Lisa for the great support!

I was on site in the building with the school class for 3 days. So everything was ok, except the staff wasn't nice and the food was cold and inedible.

We had a great stay with two of our club's youth teams. Many thanks to the great team at Schierker Baude, who accompanied us throughout the week and made all of our wishes possible. The rooms were very good, clean and each with its own bathroom. The food was top. We recommend the Schierker Baude 100%.

We were here as a group of almost 20 people for the second time and can only recommend the Schierke Baude.The rooms are functionally furnished; everything is absolutely clean, mattresses are not worn out. Some hotels or apartment rental companies could learn a lesson here.The price-performance ratio is great; the team was very friendly and careful.Everything was well organized (barbecue evening, drinks in the seminar room, etc.).Even the start of breakfast time was postponed for us on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. That felt good after Oktoberfest the night before ;-)On behalf of the “Kellertheater” group, I would like to say thank you again for the good time in your house.Sincerely, Ines.

Typical "youth hostel" with surprisingly good beds. Great sports options and the food was great. The staff also organized a great barbecue evening for our hiking group.

I'll get straight to the point. The rooms were "dirty" there were stains on the walls, the beds were rock hard that everything hurt. There was sand(?) on my bed, it looked to me like the rooms hadn't been cleaned properly. Let's get to the food... the breakfast rolls were hard but as a picky eater I only liked the cheese. For lunch you could decide what to take, in my opinion there was something for everyone but e.g. the rice was still half raw (hard) I had a hair in my food that wasn't mine or my classmates. At dinner there was the same thing as for breakfast.. while I was eating there were insects in the room in front of it. I was disgusted because there was a huge one. I have no idea what it was but it was very big. After that my appetite was gone.. you needed money for everything even though you had already paid a lot (in my case €260) and then I had to pay €2.00 for a 0.33L bottle? Some activities also required money. Overall it wasn't worth the money for me. (It's a bit confusing but I hope you understand what I mean)Greetings Emily

Thank you for this great stay in this lovingly run building.Despite the bad weather, we had a wonderful school trip with our 4th grade class. We drove home today feeling relaxed and well fed. Very special thanks go to Norbert and Elke and the entire kitchen staff. We'd love to come back.

We had an unforgettable school trip with you in the Schierker Baude with our 2nd class. The accommodation is very clean, the children felt really comfortable! They were able to use the beautiful outdoor area to play outside. Our supervisor Norbert guided us through the Harz from the first day and always responded to our wishes. The same can be said of the entire staff at the Schierker Baude: super friendly and trying to make it as relaxing as possible for the children and us teachers. And don't forget: the delicious food! There is something of everything and for everyone, especially the delicious and beautifully presented breakfast and evening buffet. So at this point, a big thank you to you again and keep it up! Hope to see you soon…..

I was in severe pain in this oppressive building. I often felt like I was being watched by weird cafeteria aunts (no privacy while eating). Weird fish balls really upset my stomach rhythm. Climbing lessons ended in blood. Windows could not be fully opened due to chains on the windows. EXACTLY!!!
