We had a family meeting. Super nice,We were self-catering on Friday and were able to use the kitchen and fridge. Barbecue area for us. We also booked a barbecue evening on Saturday and everything was included. Delicious. Breakfast was just right for us, not too much and not too little, fresh rolls perfect. The room was super clean and lovingly decorated and furnished. I was thrilled with the hard bed, slept pain-free, a blessing for me 🙏😊! Price-performance ratio?! Unbeatable🥳,.You are super nice and helpful and patient. Really recommended.We'd love to come back.The Berliners😊

We were in Altenau for a short trip into my wife's past and what can I say, it was really nice. We received a warm welcome as soon as we arrived, the room was attractively decorated and very clean. We were here on our bikes to explore the surrounding area, the owners even planned a route for us (which we, coming from the lowlands, can easily manage 😉) The breakfast was great, especially the home-baked rolls 🤤 Enjoyment. If we head back to the Harz Mountains, we'll definitely go back to the Quellenhof.

We spent a lovely week in the Harz Mountains. The guesthouse is in a nice, quiet location and some hiking trails start from there. The welcome was warm and you immediately felt at home here. The hosts are very nice and always helpful. They always have an open ear and great tips. The rooms are very nicely decorated and cozy. The breakfast with freshly baked rolls and great things is very tasty. In the evening we were able to sit outside, even when it was raining, because the area was covered. The time went by far too quickly. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for the good time!

We were able to spend 4 days in this guesthouse. In short - this holiday was an all-round feel-good package for us from the reception to the farewell. The owners of the guesthouse are very nice, friendly hosts to whom the well-being of the guests is very important. We drove home a little sadly. That's why it's clear to us: "If Harz, then back with you at the Quellenhof." Thank you, thank you, thank you from Sylva and Uwe.

Quellenhof in Altenau - what more words do you need. Our great team with great hosts felt really comfortable again on the occasion of the 3rd SeatAteca meeting with 19 vehicles and 34 participants. We "Rolleros" from Schleswig Holstein had excellent accommodation with half board at the Horst family in the great Quellenhof over Pentecost. (seven single rooms). We had and got everything our hearts desired, and even more, including a covered place to sleep for our scooter. (see image).Top price-performance ratio.The beautiful town of Altenau was a great starting point for our activities. Everything is very easy to reach in all directions. The quiet location (near the forest) is absolutely free from traffic noise because it is not on a thoroughfare. (quiet sleep)The boss (Barbara) tries very hard to provide service, but is not intrusive, and the boss (Andreas) makes the dough for the rolls himself. It couldn't be fresher, every day. (yummy)His night ends much earlier than the guests', but only for the guests' benefit. What he prepares is delicious and repeats itself in the evening. Whether with starter soup or dessert. E.g. homemade tiramisu, and not opening the can and putting it in.We decided unanimously. "We'd love to come back!"It was very familiar from the first moment until we left. We didn't feel welcome as paying guests, but as friends.Until next time then, and the left hand in greeting....

We were given a very warm welcome and we were on first name terms straight away. The hotel is very comfortable and clean, the breakfast is plentiful and there are even home-baked rolls (not just baked) but really homemade from the flour to the breakfast buffet, "really awesome" and you are greeted with a smile first thing in the morning. On the first day we had the feeling that we had known them both forever and we spoke to each other that way. We were even a little sad when we had to leave. We will definitely choose the Quellenhof in Altenau again for our vacation.

Super cozy, small guesthouse with a very tasty breakfast and very friendly hosts. The guesthouse is in a very quiet location and invites you to relax. Still super connected. The thermal baths are within walking distance and numerous hiking routes start virtually on the doorstep. We would love to come back.

The location is really great. Right by the forest. We were there for 4 days with our young dog (7 months). The breakfast was very tasty. The rolls were even baked in-house. I can only recommend they were very tasty. It was easy to get anywhere from there. There were more than enough parking spaces in front of the door. We felt very comfortable there. The guesthouse is very dog friendly. We put blankets on the bed and then our dog was allowed on the bed too. The room had everything you needed and wasn't too small. We even got a room with a balcony.We got lots of tips from the owners about what to see and where to find beautiful hiking trails.

It's a great apartment house with nice rooms. It's super clean and tidy. The hosts are so nice and friendly that I immediately felt at home. It's a family atmosphere and no matter what the topic, always helpful and friendly. My dogs were also absolutely welcome. At breakfast I was seated so that I could have breakfast with the dogs in a relaxed manner. The breakfast itself was also great. Everything fresh, including sausage, cheese, quark, fresh fruit salad, etc. If I go on vacation to Altenau again, I'll do it here.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast is lovingly prepared as a buffet with home-baked rolls and a varied selection of teas.The Kristalltherme and a small selection of restaurants in Altenau are within walking distance.We can highly recommend the “Herzweg”.
