We were here with a voucher through Jochen Schweizer and felt like second-class guests.The room is very old, shabby, you can't actually offer a room like that to anyone here for these prices, the bathroom is very small and also very shabby.Wouldn't even say the room was free, you don't dare touch certain things, it's just disgusting.The hotel is located directly on a federal highway, in the rooms you can hear the traffic on the street until late at night.The TV in the room was the size of a PC monitor, there were 4 programs programmed, the rest you had to find yourself.We went hiking, came back in the evening, wanted to eat because we were very hungry, ordered a schnitzel with mushrooms and spaetzle, what came next was just shaking our heads, the portion wouldn't even have fed an 8 year old child and the whole thing for 27 € per person.Afterwards we had to go to the Italian restaurant and eat some pizza to fill us up, very sad.Only the breakfast buffet was acceptable, although not great.We cannot recommend the hotel in any way, we had never experienced anything like it before.When I checked out at the reception, I was only answered with OK, nothing else came...We will definitely never come back to the hotel.

It is the perfect place to relax while feeling the beautiful view and fresh air of Schwarzwald.The room feels a bit old, but is well maintained, and most importantly, I slept well while the bed was comfortable.The swimming pool, therme, and sauna are all well-equipped, and you can make a reservation and get a massage if you want, so I had a really good rest. A lot of elderly couples come here, so it was nice to have the swimming pool, Therme, and Sauna to ourselves while we were there, as if we were renting them out.The staff were very friendly and I felt very comfortable both mentally and physically while staying at the hotel. The day went by so quickly that I was sad to leave without being able to enjoy all of the hotel's wellness areas. Still, relaxing on a waterbed for the first time here was a truly comfortable and unique experience.Above all, the dinner provided by the hotel was truly satisfactory for the price. In particular, Sunday dinner is especially delicious as it offers a special course, so be sure to try it on Sunday dinner!This is a place I definitely want to come back to next time I want to rest!Thanks to everyone while I was there :-)- Family Lee -

We were skeptical after reading some reviews but were pleasantly surprised. Super friendly staff throughout the hotel, a cute cow room under the roof, delicious food and a beautiful wellness area. We really liked it!It's just an old Black Forest house, but cozy and inviting! We'd love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Holzschuh in Baiersbronn! The original plan was to take a wellness break with my mother, but due to her broken foot, I spontaneously traveled with my husband and our two children. The children could be booked without any problems and at a fair price, which turned our trip into a great family break.The parking space right in front of the house was extremely convenient. The swimming pool is amazing and the massage we had was to die for.The hotel is currently being lovingly renovated and modernized piece by piece. The innovations so far have been really successful and give the house a very pleasant atmosphere. The wellness area invites you to relax.I would particularly like to highlight the friendly staff who always made us feel welcome.All in all we had a fantastic time and would love to come back. Many thanks to the entire team for the great stay!

Staff is attentive , helpful and very politeRooms are big enough to place extra beds and the parking is rather big.Offered breakfast was awesome: fresh and tasty. Let’s not forget huge terrace. If you travel in the summer and it’s sunny, then ask for a table outside !

Great hotel, we had a De Luxe Room with a balcony on the west side, which is the back of the hotel overlooking the forest. Great cuisine, good service, friendly staff, ample parking (free) and WiFi. The only downside is the busy road in front of the door, but you won't notice that inside. On the terrace you are sitting on that road with all the noise that entails. Everything else is fantastic, an address to come back to.

Wooden shoe, stick to your lasts.First of all: the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel has had better days. Everything exudes the charm of being worn out, pieced together and out of time. What should be said about the rooms is that the mattresses were good. Yes that was it. A blatant disproportion between price and performance. The fact that a room that has already been paid for (booked via an exotic booking system like booking.com) appears at the reception as not yet paid for and cannot be checked fits the impression of the store being out of date.

What a very nice hotel. Very friendly staff. We had a half board package, the food was delicious. A 4 choice menu every day. The breakfast was also delicious. We also used the Wellness, which was all well taken care of. We had a very nice stay.

Had a nice weekend at the hotelHolzschuh spent and from there started various ventures.Service and staff are top. Our two dinners at the hotel were very, very good and deserve special mention. The breakfast was also very extensive and well prepared. The sauna area offers many varied options on a rainy day.There is sufficient parking space in front of the hotel.

The staff was super nice. Rooms were very clean and modernly furnished. Wellness area was clean. Unfortunately there wasn't much to see in the area but it was perfect for relaxing. We felt very comfortable.
